The africActive is a volunteer-led non-profit with a network that spans around the world and is transforming lives and communities by offering free resources and services that address immediate and long-term needs - all while spreading the giving culture, sharing a smile, and a fun and supportive environment.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, our organization supported community members facing unprecedented challenges. We provided essential resources, food, and peace of mind to those who were out of work and could not afford basic necessities. Our food distribution program became a lifeline, significantly expanding to meet the growing demand. In 2020, we fed 4,904 families and 16,504 individuals, distributing 160,749 pounds of food. By 2023, these numbers had almost doubled, with 9,334 families and 38,970 individuals receiving 397,555 pounds of food. This exponential growth underscores our commitment to addressing food insecurity during a critical time. Our efforts extended beyond food distribution. Recognizing the diverse needs of our community, we also distributed essential items such as feminine products and diapers. From 2020 to 2023, we provided 1,208 to 1,723 units of feminine products and increased diaper distribution from 221 to 1,891 units. Our volunteer base grew from 46 to 699 individuals, reflecting the community's trust and willingness to support our mission.
