Shalem Court: Exterior Restoration Project
Over the last number of months, you no doubt have observed, heard, or, been part of the conversation pertaining to the repairs required to the exterior of the “Court” building due to moisture that seeped in behind the stucco and walls.
The repairs started in late June. We expect the Project to take 5 - 6 months to complete however, because of “hidden damage” to the exterior walls behind the stucco, we will not know the final costs until after the completion of the repairs. At this time we estimate the total cost to come in at approximately $1,500,000, or $30,000 per suite. Your Shalem Board is now faced with the task in determining how to best finance the Project.
Our Members and Residents are the central core to the Society. Families and government also benefit from a place that offers housing and community to 160 of its' Citizens.
