CANADIAN PUGWASH

Our Mission

The Canadian Pugwash Group is the national affiliate of the Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs, an international organization, awarded the 1995 Nobel Peace Prize, together with its founder Sir Joseph Rotblat. Canadian Pugwash participates annually in the international conference, and the Pugwash Council.

Education on global security, in a broad sense, is the mandate of Canadian Pugwash, carried out by sponsoring meetings and workshops to foster informed discussion, for the purpose of providing information and insights which can be useful in the formation of government policy.
