Pledge to make a difference, together.
Established in 1997, the Fraser Basin Council (FBC) is a non-profit, charitable society that advances sustainability in the communities of the Fraser River Basin and beyond. FBC is led by 36 directors from the four orders of government (federal, provincial, local and First Nations) and from the private sector and civil society.
FBC helps others work together on solutions to sustainability issues and conflicts. Over the past 10 years, the Council has helped facilitate multiple collaborative processes and, with its partners, has tackled a diversity of sustainability initiatives.
These include programs on flood hazard and debris management, aboriginal and non-aboriginal relations, strengthening communities, climate change action, greening of BC fleets, healthy watersheds, sustainable fisheries, control of invasive plants, sustainability reporting and education.
