Pledge to make a difference, together.
Seeds of Diversity Canada is a non-profit network of gardeners and farmers, promoting biodiversity of food crops through conservation, documentation, and use of open-pollinated plants. Through our magazine, member seed exchange, presentations, publications, and exhibits, we teach and encourage seed-saving of vegetables, fruits, and grains suitable for the diverse climates of Canada. We are a Canadian grassroots network of volunteer gardeners who grow heritage varieties and share seeds with one another. In 1984 we began as the Heritage Seed Programme, a committee of the Canadian Organic Growers. Since then we have grown into a national organization with federal charitable status and over 1800 members coast to coast. Our members grow over 1500 varieties of vegetables, fruits, grains, flowers, and herbs. Seeds of Diversity Canada is a registered charity number 89650 8157 RR0001.
