The Carleton County Animal Shelter was founded on the belief that no animal should have to go hungry, be homeless or live in fear or pain. CCAS believes that all animals deserve to be treated with dignity, kindness, and respect and provided with care that increases their opportunity for a safe life. Founded in 1995, CCAS has rescued and re-homed hundreds of cats and dogs each year. We are a non-profit organization, run by a group of dedicated volunteers and caring staff (made up of 1 shelter manager and 2 part time shelter attendants). We are funded solely by donations made by the public and therefore rely on the generosity of our supporters. No donation is too small or insignificant...every penny will be put to good use (food, shelter, medications & vaccinations, and most importantly spays/neuters). Thank you for your generosity.
Animal Outreach, a volunteer organization and a registered charity since 2001 has been a life-line to needy domesticated animals. Animal Outreach helps support a private cat sanctuary, a cat rescue organization, farm animal sanctuaries, and recently provided surgical equipment to a spay/neuter clinic. Animal Outreach Cat Rescue: provides care, shelter, spays/neuters and adoptions for homeless cats. Farm Animal Rescue: Transportation, food, shelter and vet care. High Volume Spay/Neuter Clinic in London: necessary surgical equipment and subsidized spays/neuters for outdoor rural and barn cats. Small town animal shelter trying to survive on limited funding with too many dogs and cats. We've been fighting since 99 and will continue to do so but the pressure is on. We may have to close our doors at the end of summer unless we can raise enough money to cover the costs of a worker, the building and the extreme high costs of housing and care for the animals.

Our shelters are always too full of animals that were born without waiting homes, puppies who grew too big, kittens who were no longer wanted when they grew up, and lost and disregarded animals. Even worse, our SPCA Hospital shelters animals who have been injured, become ill through neglect, been abandoned, abused, or grew old — each one in need of medical care, and each one potentially a loving and loyal companion. For many of these animals, the SPCA Hospital is their last hope. Please help us to help them!

Every year, millions of animals suffer severely in laboratory experiments — with results that often cannot be extended with dependability to human beings. The British Columbia Foundation for Non-Animal Research was founded to help fund and promote alternative methods of research and to work toward replacing the use of animals in laboratory procedures.
