SmallDog Rescue and Humane Society, Inc. (SDR) is a 501(c)(3) Georgia nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to finding loving families for homeless dogs in Georgia. We rescue “at risk” dogs from local shelters and animal control facilities. “At risk” dogs are those who have run out of time at shelters, have medical conditions, or need more socialization before being placed in a home. We also rescue many highly adoptable small breeds – Chihuahuas, Shih Tzus, Pugs, Poodles, Dachshunds, Maltese, Terriers, Bichon Frises – it is a truly a myth that only mixed breeds end up homeless! Our volunteers work to socialize our dogs and provide them with loving care. Through our foster homes, we assess the dogs in a home setting, allowing us to better understand the kind of home and family the dog will need. SmallDog Rescue and Humane Society, Inc. (SDR) has now teamed up with Furkids, Inc. to help find more animals (dogs and cats) loving homes.
Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles (WGSR) is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing German Shepherd Dogs, German Shepherd mixes and dogs of other breeds to place for adoption in loving homes. WGSR is focused on dogs in the Southern California area (including many dogs from rural areas in the Central Valley) either from high-kill shelters or owner surrenders where there are insufficient resources to help the dogs recover and become adoptable. We are a known resource in Southern California for special needs dogs with severe medical problems and/or injuries including fractures and burns, often accompanied by malnutrition and infectious diseases. Our philosophy is to not deny a dog a second chance . WGSR has rescued over 12,000 dogs since its founding in 2002.
The Denton Animal Support Foundation's mission is to save more Denton area animals.
German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County (GSROC) is a non-profit 501(c)3 charity organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing purebred German Shepherd Dogs that have no where else to turn. Our mission is to rescue and re-home as many GSD's as we possibly can each year, growing beyond our current geographic area. To accommodate our rescued dogs that have been injured & need rehabilitation, we are creating a specialized rehabilitation center for physical therapy or modified exercise. We are also driven to establish a sanctuary in Southern California, where some of our elderly dogs can spend the rest of their lives. It is particularly difficult to get an elderly dog adopted. It is unfair to those dogs to have them be in a kennel for the last few years of their lives.
