Parrot Rescue Services is dedicated to providing intake, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary services to companion birds. They serve the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metro area and surrounding communities. The parrots in their rescue are cared for 365 days a year. There is never a day, when the birds do not enjoy human interaction and time out of their cages. Their facility is operated seven days a week by volunteers. While some of the volunteers care for and work with the birds as part of the adoption process, others are there to help with the daily work needed to run a parrot rescue. 100% of the money raised through any fundraising goes directly to the care and feeding of the birds. They are an all volunteer organization.

Blue River Pet Rescue exists to achieve the overall goal of being able to provide Seward and surrounding counties with care and shelter for pet animals that no longer have homes. They believe that all animals have basic needs that should be met. Two important needs are food and shelter from the elements. A third need they believe to be important for these pet animals is companionship. Their goal is to be able to operate a shelter facility in order to provide for those needs. The support of community members such as your self will be critical in our ability to realize that goal.
Mid-Atlantic Border Collie Rescue is a haven for Border Collies that have been abandoned or stray. Many of these dogs are turned over to shelters through no fault of their own - because their previous owners found themselves unable to handle the challenges border collies offer or because changes in their lives left them unable to properly care for their dogs. Knowing this breed allows MABCR to rescue these dogs from an uncertain future and place them into caring, responsible homes. MABCR knows each of their dogs intimately and what each requires to be properly placed into a new home. Assessment of each dog can determine if they should be placed as a pet only or an actual working dog home, involved in herding, goose removal, agility or obedience.
They offer weekly low cost spay/neuter clinics for felines in the Myrtle Beach and Pawleys Island areas in order to reduce the number of free roaming cats and kittens. They utilize local veterinarians and subsidize the cost by fundraising throughout the year. Their focus is on reducing the community cat (feral) population and helping our residents get their felines fixed at a reasonable cost.

Deepwood Veterinary Clinic practices quality medicine and offers “one stop shopping” for all of your pet’s needs. However, Deepwood never forgets that there are many abandoned and homeless animals in our region that may need extra care while they wait for their forever homes. With that in mind, Deepwood Veterinary Clinic strives to give back to the community by working closely with several local rescue organizations. Some of these include Oldies But Goodies Cocker Spaniel Rescue and Collie Rescue. Deepwood Veterinary Clinic also works with many local animal shelters. For more than fifteen years, Deepwood Veterinary Clinic has served as the primary veterinarian for Fairfax County Animal Shelter. So that they may help sick, homeless, and abandoned animals that otherwise might not have a chance, Deepwood Veterinary Clinic founded its own nonprofit charity known as Deepwood Animal Rescue Fund to help offset the medical costs of many of these animals and give them a second chance. Their annual Fall Festival is Deepwood’s primary fundraising event. The more money that is raised, the more animals in Fairfax County they will be able to help.
Purrfect Smiles is a registered 501(c)(3) organization committed to raise funds and provide care for community cats in need of medical attention that is beyond shelter capabilities. We have partnered with local veterinarians to help us provide much needed treatment.
