Protecting Wildlife through Rescue, Rehabilitation, Release, and Education

As the oldest and most comprehensive animal welfare organization in the state, we provide care for over 43,000 homeless and companion animals annually. For more than 128 years, we have been committed to serving the needs of the people and animals in the community and across the region as a 4-Star Charity Navigator rated nonprofit ranking in the top 1 percent nationally. Our Mission is to promote, protect and advance the well-being of Louisiana's companion animals.

Last Chance Animal Rescue operates in Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia. We take in cats and dogs from more than 50 high-kill shelters in 12 states and provide disaster-relief services for pets. We partner with more than 30 PetSmart and Petco stores in the region and provide full service in-store cat adoptions. We promote and provide low cost, high quality spay/neuter of companion animals and provide educational material to retain these animals in the home.

English Springer Rescue America, Inc. (ESRA) is a nationwide referral and foster care rescue, and a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. ESRA's purpose with their rescue is to provide foster care and adoption referral services to shelters and animal control facilities nationwide with impounded Springers.

Feeding Pets of the Homeless believes in the healing power of companion pets and of the human/animal bond which is very important in the lives of many homeless. They find solace, protection and companionship through their pets. They care for their pets on limited resources so they themselves have less. Our task, nationwide, is to feed and provide basic emergency veterinary care to their pets and thus relieve the anguish and anxiety of the homeless who cannot provide for their pets. The Humane Society of Central Oregon (HSCO) has been serving the community since 1961, and endeavors to strengthen the human-animal bond by advocating and compassionately caring for animals. HSCO is a Socially Conscious Shelter that strives to ensure the best possible outcomes for homeless companion animals in our care and the community. At the core, HSCO works in collaboration with partners and the community to support the individual needs of people and their pets by providing access to thoughtful resources and services to improve the welfare of all vulnerable animals. The Delaware SPCA is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to enhance the well-being of companion animals with their human care-givers and communities. They promote the humane treatment of animals by providing adoption opportunities, low-cost veterinary services and educational programs.

Established in 2008, Furever Friends Animal Rescue of Brunswick County, NC (FFAR) is an active 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation in good standing with the State of North Carolina. The main purpose of FFAR is to provide medical and surgical care to homeless, injured or abandoned animals and prepare them for adoption.

Maryland Westie Rescue, Inc., (MWR) is an all-volunteer animal rescue organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing West Highland White Terriers (Westies) and Westie mixes.

Kauai Humane Society is dedicated to fostering respect, responsibility and compassion for all animals and enriching lives by nurturing healthy relationships between pets and people.

Bella SPCA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Oklahoma City created to assist low-income, elderly, or terminally ill pet owners with the cost of veterinary care when it cannot be afforded, and to provide foster homes and find permanent loving homes for rescued animals. Every year thousands of animals are euthanized or die because the people who love them cannot financially absorb the cost of veterinary care. Stray and abandoned animals have even fewer options when brought into a clinic or veterinary office with no owner to pay for their care. At Bella SPCA, we believe every animal deserves to receive the best possible care regardless of the owner’s ability to pay.
