CAROUSEL THEATRE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

Carousel Theatre for Young People (CTYP) has produced 150 plays over 38 seasons. In its early years the company performed at several venues in Vancouver including the Arts Club Seymour Street and the Vancouver East Cultural Centre. CTYP has been based on Granville Island since 1981, where we operate a small arts complex that includes administrative offices, rehearsal halls and a costume shop. The company’s dedication to artistic excellence has resulted in critical acclaim and twelve Jessie Awards in the Theatre for Young Audiences category, with 53 nominations in the past five seasons. Each season approximately 40 000 young people and their families benefit from CTYP’s diverse programming and activities, which include a Mainstage season of Literary Classics, a summer Teen Shakespeare Program, and a year-round Theatre School for young people aged 3 to 17 years.

CATALYST THEATRE SOCIETY OF ALBERTA

“Alberta’s international-award-winning Catalyst Theatre revels in juxtaposition” Gilbert A Bouchard, The Globe and Mail, Canada Catalyst Theatre is an Edmonton-based theatre company that creates and tours new work developed under the leadership of Artistic Director Jonathan Christenson and Resident Designer Bretta Gerecke. Since 1997, Catalyst’s artistic team has created original productions that have toured the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and the United States, garnering many awards and much critical acclaim along the way. In Edmonton, Catalyst has received numerous Sterling Awards including eight for its of 2006 adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, and seven for 2008's Nevermore. In 2009/2010 Catalyst gave 87 performances for over 32,000 audience members. Catalyst operates its own venue in Edmonton’s funky Old Strathcona district. Depending on the season 75% to 84% of the company's budget goes directly artistic and production expenses.

CATARAQUI REGION CONSERVATION FOUNDATION

The Cataraqui Region Conservation Foundation raises funds to assist with the Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority's conservation education and land acquisition programs. The Foundation has been the CRCA's fundraising arm for more than 40 years. The Foundation is a registered charitable organization with a formally-constituted board of directors and organization by-laws. The board elects its officers and maintains its records at the CRCA Administration Office in Kingston, Ontario. In 1994, the Foundation became a membership-based organization. Persons interested in the aims of the Foundation can make contributions to specific projects (for example, Partners-in-Education) and may purchase a tax-receiptable annual membership. The Music Gallery

The Music Gallery (est. 1976) is a Toronto presenter and venue devoted entirely to the presentation of leading-edge contemporary music in all genres. We present approximately 50 concerts each year. We are the premier Canadian stage amongst an international network of concert halls committed to the promotion of the composers of our time, and the furtherance of creative art music. Responsible for offering Toronto audiences compelling and intelligent concerts, we continuously research and uncover the most daring and original musical artists, most of whose work fit no other forum. Boasting an Artistic Advisory Committee of international scope, the Music Gallery is widely regarded as the place in Canada where the latest developments in art music are unveiled. Our concerts take place in the acoustic splendour of St. George the Martyr Church situated on the cusp of Grange Park in the heart of Queen Street West.

Centaur Foundation for the Performing Arts

Centaur Theatre has been Quebec's leading English-language theatre for over 40 years. Each season, over 60,000 spectators are inspired, challenged and entertained by our 250 presentations. We are the only English-language theatre to win the prestigious Grand Prix, Theatre Category from the Conseil des arts de Montréal. Centaur is an integral part of Montreal’s quality of life, and plays a part in attracting both businesses and employees to our wonderful city. In addition to our six mainstage productions, Centaur makes theatre accessible to young people with our Saturday Morning Children’s Series and Theatre of Tomorrow. Each year, more than 3,000 young people, mostly Francophones learning English as a second language, enjoy a rare opportunity to see affordable professional theatre in English.
