YOUTH WITHOUT SHELTER (YWS)

YWS is Etobicoke's singular emergency residence and referral agency serving homeless youth between the ages of 16 and 24. The 30 bed Emergency Residential Program meets the immediate needs of the youth by providing safe shelter, crisis counselling, nutritious food, clothing and hygiene products. Residents are given access to life skills training sessions and workshops through YWS's Steps to Success and Housing Programs. An Employment Program aims to alleviate the obstacles youth encounter in finding and maintaining employment. A Stay in School Program offers longer-term accommodation for up to 20 youth while they focus on completing their education. Youth Without Shelter' s vision is to end homelessness, one youth at a time, one step at a time.

Toronto Public Library Foundation was established in 1997 as a registered charity. Since its inception, Toronto Public Library Foundation has raised over $55 million in support of Toronto Public Library priority needs. The Foundation's long-range goal is to build an endowment fund that will generate sufficient income to support enhanced library programs, collections and services in perpetuity. The urgent needs for the Library include: improved and expanded collections, enhanced programs and services, upgraded technology, and revitalized community spaces to respond to the changing needs of the people of Toronto. Our city needs its library. And Toronto's Library needs you.

CDHF - Canadian Digestive Health Foundation

Over 20 million Canadians suffer from digestive disorders every year. We believes this is unnecessary and unacceptable. The CDHF reduces suffering and improvs quality of life by empowering Canadians with trusted, up to date, science-based information about digestive health and disease. We are the Foundation of the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology (CAG). As such, we work directly with leading physicians, scientists, and other healthcare professionals to help Canadians understand and take control of their digestive health with confidence and optimism. Through research and public education, we aim to: REDUCE the incidence and prevalence of digestive disorders; IMPROVE understanding of digestive health issues; SUPPORT those suffering from digestive disorders; and, ENHANCE quality of life for those living with digestive disorders.

SERBIAN HERITAGE MUSEUM OF WINDSOR

Serbian Heritage Museum of Windsor is the only such museum in Canada and is dedicated to upholding its mandate of multiculturalism in Canada by preserving, celebrating and promoting the experience and contribution of Serbian heritage in the lives and communities of Canadians. The museum’s aim is to preserve the knowledge of Serbian immigrants to Ontario and Canada, and to promote the great contribution made by Serbs to Canada’s industrial, cultural, social and intellectual life. The Serbian Heritage Museum is a focus of local, national and international collaboration in programs and research that are accessible to individuals and organizations.

SANDY PINES WILDLIFE CENTRE INCORPORATED

Sandy Pines Wildlife Cntre, located in Napanee Ontario, is a licensed Wildlife rehabilitation centre covering an area from Toronto to Montreal and North to Ottawa. We take in all injured and orphaned animals and birds that are native to Ontario. Our facility is located on 60 acres of land with a hospital area and outdoor caging an flight aviaries. We hire staff in the summer but the centre is staffed by volunteers throughout the year. We are open 24/7 for emergencies and phone calls.

Pathways to Education Canada

Pathways to Education Canada is a charitable organization that helps youth in low-income communities graduate from high school and successfully transition into post-secondary education or training. Pathways to Education addresses systemic barriers to education by providing leadership, expertise and a community-based program proven to lower dropout rates. Founded in 2001, Pathways operates in 12 communities across Canada, with programs in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and Manitoba.
