The Civic Youth Orchestra makes the enriching experience of performing music using symphonic musical instruments available to children of any race, religion or ethnic origin, without regard to economic circumstances, in an environment that is positive and nurturing. The Civic Youth Orchestra provides performance opportunities to children throughout the community, in a variety of locations, involving various skill levels, enriching the overall educational experience with a stimulating performance preparation program that occurs outside of the school day. The Civic Youth Orchestra creates opportunities for young people to demonstrate their musical proficiency for receptive audiences and competition adjudicators, both at home and outside the community, instilling pride and receiving recognition, as well as promoting the image of Southern California as a place of culture, unusual achievement and excellence.
The FCAC’s mission is to further and support the practice and enjoyment of the fine arts in the Fremont community. In addition to active sponsorship of activities such as art in the schools, the Fremont Cultural Arts Council provides a “clearinghouse” for the Arts and other charitable and non-profit activities in the area, helping these organizations to avoid event scheduling conflicts and publishing a calendar of events via our newsletter, the Fremont Focus, and on this website. The EZ Kids Creativity Shell is a registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that is on a mission to use creative trades to educate and inspire earth's most precious resources our kids! Through sponsorships, fundraising and donations, we are bringing creative trades such as sewing, woodworking and other trades back into the education system to inspire children as we teach them these (soon to be) forgotten trades.
