The Holter Museum inspires, connects, and heals our community through contemporary exhibitions and innovative arts programming.The museum brings national and international exhibitions into the region, providing a much-needed venue for local and regional artists. The Holter Museum of Art also collects and preserves regional artworks in its permanent collection. The mission of the Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Old West Museum is to cultivate a rich educational space for the diverse, international community served by, and rooted in, the American western legacy of Cheyenne Frontier Days.

The mission of the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is to inspire people to live in harmony with the natural world by fostering love, appreciation, and understanding of the Sonoran Desert. The Museum is regularly listed as one of the top ten zoological parks in the world due to its unique approach in interpreting the complete natural history of a single region (in our case this is the Sonoran Desert and adjacent ecosystems). Not a “museum" in the usual sense, it is an unparalleled composite of plant, animal, and geologic collections with the goal of making the Sonoran Desert accessible, understandable, and valued.

Connecting art to life. To achieve its mission, the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block preserves and interprets its collections of the Art of Latin America, Art of the American West, and Modern and Contemporary Art; cares for and interprets five significant El Presidio historic properties; and produces related exhibitions, education programs, and publications which expand understanding and appreciation of these unique community resources.

ORHF provides for the preservation, operation and public enjoyment of Portland’s historic locomotives, railroad equipment, and artifacts, and educates the public about Oregon’s rich and diverse railroad history.
