The museum provides exhibition experiences and educational programming that connects visitors to the history and lessons of the Holocaust with the goal of combating hatred, promoting understanding, and modeling and inspiring humanitarian choices and actions.

The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, serves as a welcoming and inclusive place for all people, connecting the communities of Houston with diverse histories of art spanning 5,000 years and six continents. The Children's Museum of Yuma County creates playful experiences where all children learn through exploration, imagination, and creativity. The Children's Museum of Yuma County serves families throughout Yuma County in Arizona, as well as Imperial County, California, and neighboring cities in Northern Mexico: San Luis and Algodones. The Children's Museum of Yuma County strives to honor the diversity of the region and bring an enduring educational experience to all children who visit.

Founded in 2001 the National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum acknowledges the multicultural contributions of Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, European Americans, and African Americans in the settlement of the American frontier. Works of artists and others who documented people and events of the time via journals, photographs, and other historical items are part of the museum's collection of overlooked materials that tell — often for the first time — the complete story of how the West was won. Through various educational programs (e.g., storytelling sessions, "Forgotten Cowboys Tour," cultural heritage workshops, historical reenactments, participatory learning) at the museum and in the community, the Museum shares our multicultural western heritage while instilling positive values of diversity, tolerance, hard-work, and determination. Visitors to the museum and at our traveling exhibitions leave with an awareness that the American West came into being through the struggles and triumphs of racially and socio-economically diverse people.

The mission of the National Medal of Honor Museum and its attendant education center is to commemorate the stories of our Medal of Honor recipients, unite Americans around what it means to be patriotic, and inspire us to find the hero within ourselves. At a time when Americans yearn for common ground, visitors will appreciate the deeds our best and bravest have done in defense of our liberty and the virtue of putting service over self.

To preserve and protect the Presidential Yacht Potomac for use as a classroom and museum dedicated to imparting to present and future generations the continuing impact of the Franklin Delano Roosevelt era.

Our social enterprise supports women in technical fields, as well as the organizations that employ them and the academic institutions training the next generation. A full roster of programs help women grow, learn, and develop their highest potential.

The Center for Wooden Boats promotes northwest maritime heritage through education, interpretation and hands-on experience in building, maintaining and using small craft.

The Marin Museum of Contemporary Art connects art, community, and artistic expression. The Museum is a vibrant arts center located at Hamilton Field. We offer free contemporary art exhibitions that showcase local, national, and international artists. The museum has a main gallery as well as the Ron Collins lobby gallery, a museum store, an education program, and artist studios. Over 55 artists have working studios in four buildings that provide an atmosphere of creative energy in which contemporary art flourishes.

In the words of its founder, the Corcoran is “dedicated to art.” Its museum presents, interprets and preserves the art of our times and of times past; its college of art nurtures and helps shape new generations of artists and designers. Education is a central focus, not just in the Corcoran’s classrooms but in its galleries and throughout the greater Washington region. Though American art is the collection’s emphasis, the art of other nations and cultures is, when appropriate, acquired and exhibited. The Corcoran is committed to making the historic art in its collections and the emerging art of our time accessible and understandable to the broadest possible audience through innovative exhibitions and educational programming, systematic research and rigorous scholarship. Its many activities emphasize the combined resources of its museum and college, and are directed toward diverse communities with widely differing educational and socio-economic backgrounds. Though proud of its important place in the international world of art history and scholarship, the Corcoran is ever mindful of its special obligation to serve the greater Washington region, especially its artists and its young people.
