The Adler Planetarium is a private, not-for-profit cultural institution whose mission is to encourage public interest in astronomy, its history, and to engage and educate a diverse audience in the exciting quest to understand our evolving universe. Our philosophy is that bigotry and prejuidice are fostered by ignorance and that hopelessness and despair felt by many Black youth are fueled by a lack of positive exposure.
