Peace of Heart Choir, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation ("the Choir"), was founded in 2001 by local composer Jeff Becker, who recruited 28 singers to present his original, 9/11 commemorative song at a NYC Recovers’ community event. Today, the choir’s mission remains the same: using music to build bridges and community and speak to diverse communities in times of need. The Choir annually performs approximately 20 community concerts – free-of-charge – at public venues or onsite at social service organizations throughout New York City, focusing on underserved groups yearning to hear music, including the sick; the elderly; the disabled; and the homeless.

Jazz Power Initiative is a community-based, performing arts and educational non-profit organization, founded in 2003. Jazz Power serves thousands of New Yorkers and visitors annually - students, teachers, artists, seniors and general audiences, ages 8-80+, to build more creative and inclusive communities. Led by our Managing and Artistic Director, Eli Yamin, and highly experienced teaching artists who are award-winning jazz, theater and dance professionals, JPI also offers multidisciplinary training, scholarships and performance opportunities to New York City youth, ages 8-22, from every economic and social milieu at low or no cost to families, with extended outreach to students in under-served New York City public schools in Northern Manhattan.

Jazz Bridge is a nonprofit organization established by a group of caring Philadelphia jazz musicians and fans dedicated to assisting professional Greater Philadelphia Metro area jazz and blues musicians and vocalists in times of crisis by providing confidential and caring support in keeping with their personal dignity. Through donations, grants, Neighborhood concerts, and music bookings, Jazz Bridge assists those coping with emergencies involving health, legal, financial, personal and professional needs, while building an awareness of the local jazz sound and the community of musicians who make it.
