Oak Grove Theater

Oak Grove Theater began in 1954. A community theater group performing an annual five play summer season. The plays are performed at night, out-of-doors, at beautiful Oak Grove just outside of Verona, Virginia. Please feel free to come picnic at the Grove before the sun sets and the play begins. The season begins late in May and ends in late August. Oak Grove productions open on a Thursday night. Each show has a seven consecutive night run. All performances begin at 8:45 p.m. sharp. Oak Grove is an all volunteer organization supported entirely by season tickets and our wonderful patrons. Thank you!

Traveling Players Ensemble was founded in 2003 by Producing Artistic Director Jeanne E. Harrison as a 501(c)(3) educational theatre company based in Great Falls, Virginia. Our mission is to enhance self-expression, self-knowledge, self-reliance, problem-solving skills, and a heightened appreciation of challenges and beauty by bringing great theatre into the great outdoors. Our goal is to provide an outstanding theatre experience for young adults that will contribute to their maturity and fosters a lifelong love of both theatre and the outdoors while meeting rigorous artistic and educational standards.

Hiway Theatre

The Hiway Theatre, Inc is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization which was formed in November of 2003 to raise funds to purchase the property of 212 Old York Road which was then operating as a movie theater under the name Chas III.  The name Hiway was selected because in the theater's ninety year+ history, it carried that name longer than any other (from 1940-1983).The theater now operates as a member supported, non profit movie theater with the mission to preserve the historic Hiway Theatre and keep a local tradition alive for people passionate about film and the cinematic experience.The Hiway Theater changed management on May 20, 2013.

The Atlanta Community Symphony Orchestra (ACSO) promotes the appreciation and enjoyment of music by reaching out to diverse and underserved communities throughout greater Atlanta and provides educational and cultural opportunities for its diverse audiences. A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1957, the ACSO provides performance opportunities for serious Atlanta-area musicians and quality, free symphonic performances for audiences around metro Atlanta. The orchestra performs under the direction of Juan R. Ramirez, Artistic Director and Conductor Emeritus. The orchestra is composed of musicians from the Atlanta area who perform on a volunteer basis. www.ascorch.org.
