Alaska Search and Rescue Emergency Response Team, commonly known as ASARERT, was established in 2020 and is a ground-search team based out of Fairbanks, Alaska. The team is composed of un-paid volunteers that have training, experience, and equipment necessary for search & rescue operations in Interior Alaska for both people and animals. ASARERT is a registered non-profit service organization all team members are from the Fairbanks community. ASARERT serves as an un-paid auxiliary to the Alaska State Troopers to augment their departmental search and rescue efforts.
The Malibu Search & Rescue Team is an all volunteer organization comprised of Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Reserve Deputy Sheriffs, a select few Civilian Volunteer Specialists and Incident Support Personnel. Team members volunteer their time and efforts to help others and the team does not charge for rescues. The Team is a unit of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and is also a member of the prestigious California Region of the Mountain Rescue Association.
