Mission Statement: The Binaytara Foundation seeks to improve healthcare in resource poor communities and improve cancer care worldwide by collaborating with national and international organizations to: 1.) develop healthcare manpower in underserved areas 2.) improve access to cancer care by establishing direct care facilities and services 3.) promote the practice of evidence based medicine by providing research grants to young physicians and healthcare providers in training 4.) improve knowledge and competence of healthcare professionals by offering them continuing educational materials though live and virtual meetings, webinars, and other educational forums. Our Values: As individuals who grew up in Nepal, and were edified by higher education and professional training in their home countries and in the United States, BTF co-founders maintain a strong sense of responsibility towards helping improve healthcare in resource poor communities. BTF board members, volunteers, associates, and donors are individuals highly motivated to help the less privileged people around the world. Blue Dragon Children's Foundation is on a mission to end human trafficking.We have pioneered interventions in Vietnam which prevent trafficking from taking place and are scaling them up to a national level. At the same time, we are rescuing people in slavery who call for help and supporting them to rebuild their lives, post-trafficking.We offer a comprehensive range of services led by our dedicated team of social workers, psychologists, teachers and lawyers. From providing food and shelter to a child on the street to rescuing a girl from sex trafficking, we give children a new chance in life. Blue Dragon has been operating in Vietnam since 2003.

The Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in old Quebec City is one of Canada's most prestigious heritage buildings, founded in 1799 by King George III. Today the Cathedral is home to a strong community of Anglican and Lutheran Christians, with two main Sunday services, one in French and the other in English.

Founded by Sam Sullivan in 1988, the Disabled Sailing Association of British Columbia (DSA) strives to increase the level of independence, motivation and quality of life for people with significant physical disabilities through the sport of sailing. DSA's operations are based out of the Jericho Sailing Centre on English Bay in Vancouver and operate annually from June through August. Our core program is designed to accommodate a range of disabilities and sailing skill levels. With the Sip 'n' Puff autohelm control system and the specially designed Martin 16 sailboat at the centre of our activities, even high quadriplegics -- those with little or no movement below the neck -- can sail independently and in complete safety. DSA is run by a highly trained and competent team of staff members and volunteers. We provide opportunities for recreational and competitive sailing as well as instruction for first-time, or novice, sailors.

Lewistown Fire Department proudly protects 9,000 people living in an area of approximately 2 square miles. They operate out of 3 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Their department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.

The mission of the Peterborough Fire & Rescue is to protect the lives and property of the people of Peterborough and Sharon from fires, natural and man-made disasters, and hazardous materials incidents; to save lives by providing emergency medical services; to prevent fires through prevention and education programs; to provide defense against terrorist attacks; and to provide a work environment that values cultural diversity and is free of harassment and discrimination.
