We are a national, First Nation-directed environmental non-profit organization with charitable status. We were established in 1994 by a group of First Nation leaders from across Canada. These leaders recognized the need for First Nations to have the capacity to solve environmental problems affecting their lands and resources. Through our programs, we: ~ take action on climate change, ~ build sustainable communities, ~ protect lands and waters, and ~ conserve biodiversity. We create and put into action sustainable solutions to address First Nations' environmental issues. We take an integrated approach that includes multiple perspectives and fosters collaborative relationships. We would welcome the opportunity to talk with you about what we do.

SOS depends on community volunteers and community contributions to help protect, preserve and enhance the Seine River Environment through education, awareness and hands-on participation. Your contribution assists SOS in enabling all citizens to reconnect with their local environment. The Goals of Save Our Seine: 1. Preserve, protect and enhance the natural environment & heritage resource of the Seine River. 2. Restore & repair features of the environment that have been degraded. 3. Improve water level, flow & quality 4. Raise the public's awareness of all aspects of the Seine River 5. Improve the environmental behavior of private industry, governments and the general public 6. Improve appropriate public access along the Seine River (by low-impact nature trail & by canoe)

Founded in 1993 by a group of young activists in the wake of the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Équiterre offers individuals, organizations and governments CONCRETE SOLUTIONS aimed at making Quebec a society where sustainable development and the social economy occupy a central place. Équiterre places particular emphasis on the basic choices we all make in our daily lives. Food, transportation, lodging, gardening and consumption are all essential needs but in filling these needs, we can all make responsible choices and help change the world for the better, ONE STEP AT A TIME. Through its consulting, awareness-raising and research projects, Équiterre intervenes at both the local, regional, national and international levels to promote legislation, policies an business practices that reflect the values of JUSTICE, SOLIDARITY and respect for the ENVIRONMENT.

Comox Valley Community Foundation, is a public foundation registered with Canada Revenue Agency. It was founded in 1996 as a collection of funds that form a permanent endowment for charitable purposes. The Foundation administers funds, which comes from bequests, living donors, endowments or nonprofit organizations and other gifts. Grants are made from income generated from the investment of the funds. The Foundation helps with projects throughout the Comox Valley.

Friends of Kawartha Conservation: * Encourages and supports the interpretive, education and protective activities of Kawartha Conservation; * Supports, promotes and raises awareness of the heritage and natural resources within the Kawartha Conservation watershed; * Provides financial support for conservation programs and activities; and * Functions as a charitable non-profit corporation for fund raising, sales and other conservation supportive activities.

Ecotrust Canada is an enterprising nonprofit whose purpose is to build the conservation economy. We work at the intersection of conservation and community economic development promoting innovation and providing services for communities, First Nations and enterprises to green and grow their local economies. Our work is varied and relentlessly practical. We send out a regular e-newsletter the "Conservation Economist", or updates can be viewed on our website at ecotrust.ca.

SodecM is a "think tank plus". We believe that effective community organization which also aims at urban reform must have an approach which overcomes isolation or fragmentation. This fragmentation results when consistent efforts at outreach do not incorporate a substantial perspective on the environment, governance, the economy and community. Therefore we have made it our priority to continuously emphasize the need for an overview, for a global approach, for an ecological perspective which in an ongoing manner relates the parts to the whole and our overall goals to concrete community development. Launched 10 years ago, SODECM projects include: * Urban Ecology Centre; * Place Publique - a community newspaper; * Groupe ressources en Éco-design; * Municipal Democracy & Citizenship Project

The CWFS takes the unique approach of promoting sustainable development at all levels - local, regional, provincial, federal and international. The CWFS puts sustainable development into action by working with government, local communities and industry to provide employment while fixing the problems of the past and finding solutions for the future.

Recently, Georgian Bay Forever has embarked on a major study of the economic impact of low water levels on the Great Lakes. This will quantify the damage experienced by the region’s crucial economic sectors: the shipping industry, agriculture, boating, tourism, hydroelectric generation and water treatment to name but a few. 3CM is a Canadian nonprofit registered charitable organization set up to assist those in need locally as well as in developing countries. It was started in 1997 by three families that wanted others to experience a thrill they discovered. Where many good and reputable societies request your funds so that they may assist people in foreign settings, we at 3CM welcome you to join with us to experience first hand what your abilities can accomplish in the areas of housing, medical, and every day practical things that we take for granted. If you absolutely cannot come, we will regretfully accept your money instead... 3CM is based on Christian principles as it says in Isaiah 58 and Matthew 25 to "divide your bread with the hungry ...bring the homeless poor into your house". We at 3CM want to do everything possible to facilitate your hand reaching theirs. We help them -- they teach us. Since 2007 our focus has been on a leadership development program called Project Moses in Honduras.

We are a local land trust/conservancy with a strong focus on community-building and voluntary land stewardship. Many of our projects are partnerships with TLC, NCC, or other organizations.
