Mission statement: By providing English-language speech and debate tournaments, student leadership opportunities, and international programming to Bulgarian high school students, the BEST Foundation promotes critical thinking skills and free thought so as to foster a community of engaged, democratically-minded citizens who are committed to creating a bright future for Bulgaria. Vision: We believe that words are powerful, and can engage diverse viewpoints to contribute to the well-being of societies. Programs: BEST accomplishes its mission through the following activities: - providing speech and debate tournaments to Bulgarian and foreign students - supporting teachers and coaches with curriculum and trainings - creating student-centered leadership opportunities - informing and educating students about local and global issues and ideas - fostering a network of citizens who envision and are working toward a bright future for Bulgaria Impact: Though no two experiences through BEST are alike, the following characterizes significant patterns of change experienced through participation in BEST's programming: 1) Exposure: Through BEST, participants are exposed to new ideas, views, and perspectives. 2) Conviction: Participants then begin to care about certain ideas that they have been exposed to. 3) Education: Once they find an idea they care more about, they begin to learn more about this idea, and become more critically aware of what is going on. 4) Action: Based on what participants have learned and care about, they take action. Action can take many different forms.

TO PROMOTE HUMAN BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS ANIMALS IN IMPOVERISHED REGIONS OF THE WORLD BY: A) PROVIDING FREE STERILIZATION OF CATS AND DOGS BY A QUALIFIED VETERINARY TEAM B) TRAINING LOCAL VETERINARY SURGEONS IN KEYHOLE STERILIZATIONS PROCEDURES AND OTHER SUCH TECHNIQUES WHICH HELP TO ADVANCE THE ORGANISATIONS CAUSE AND INCREASE ANIMAL WELFARE C) DELIVERING EDUCATION TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC ON THE IMPORTANCE OF STERILIZATION AND ANIMAL WELFARE

Educateurs sans Frontieres (EsF), a division of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), is a network of Montessori practitioners, working with communities, governments and other partners to advance human development from the prenatal stage to early childhood care and education, continuing through to elementary, adolescence, adulthood and the elderly.

Zahana in Madagascar is dedicated to participatory rural development, education, revitalization of traditional Malagasy medicine, reforestation, and sustainable agriculture. It is Zahana's philosophy that participatory development must be based on local needs and solutions proposed by local people. It means asking communities what they need and working with them collaboratively so they can achieve their goals. Each community's own needs are unique and require a tailor -made response

The mission of CORPluS is to help enhance individual and group potential and expand the capacity of Bulgarian communities through the continuation of innovative programs in education and development, modeled on Peace Corps Bulgaria initiated projects and activities. Goals To maintain Peace Corps' legacy in Bulgaria through established Peace Corps programs and resources and to continue the goodwill and friendship between the people of the United States and the people of Bulgaria. To strengthen the English language skills of Bulgarian students and to share innovative teaching methods with teachers. To develop the capacity of youth and empower them to improve their quality of life, develop leadership skills and become engaged community members. To improve the administrative, economic and project capacity and civil society initiatives of local communities, organizations and individuals in Bulgaria. Approach CORPluS will maintain and continue the relationships with Bulgarian and American institutions, partner organizations and individuals and the network of Bulgarian RPCVs. The organization will develop new partnerships with Bulgarian organizations, businesses and members of the professional community.

The Maecenata Foundation is an independent Think Tank founded in 2010 and based in Munich. It addresses issues of civil society, civic engagement, philanthropy, and foundations. Since 2011 it comprises all of Maecenata's activities. The foundation directs the activities of its programmes to represent carefully considered positions. It is heavily engaged in the transnational strengthening and development of an open society in Europe and beyond through civil society.
