The purpose of the Association is to provide services to all alumni of the University of Virginia (the University), thereby assisting the University and its students, faculty, and administration in attaining the University's highest priority of achieving eminence as a center of higher learning. This assistance shall also be directed to the attainment of Thomas Jefferson's desire that the University educate students who will become leaders in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the nation.

The mission of the University of Richmond is to sustain a collaborative learning and research community that supports the personal development of its members and the creation of new knowledge. A Richmond education prepares students to live lives of purpose, thoughtful inquiry, and responsible leadership in a global and pluralistic society.

Berea College is a not-for-profit institution providing liberal arts education to students with limited family financial resources primarily from the Southern Appalachian Mountain region.  All Students are provided a full tuition scholarship and, accordingly, the College is dependent on gifts and donations to help provide a low cost but high quality eductation.  The College has one campus located in Berea, Kentucky with an enrollment of approximately 1,600 students and approximately 450 non-student employees.  Founded in 1855, Berea College was the first college in the South to educate blacks and whites, women and men, together.

Founded in 1832, Wabash College is an independent, liberal arts college for men with an enrollment of about 875 students. Its mission is excellence in teaching and learning within a community built on close and caring relationships among students, faculty, and staff.
