The League of Women Voters of Wisconsin is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

The CPFQ Child Sponsorship Program is designed to build bridges between the Canadian community and Palestinian children living under occupation or in refugee camps. Children enrolled in our program live under conditions of extreme poverty and unemployment. Many of them live in densely populated refugee camps. A suitable infrastructure is absent, seriously threatening the physical and mental health of residents. Many children suffer from serious health problems and disabilities. Due to financial hardship, many have to leave school at a very young age to help support their families. The severe restrictions on employment and movement make the future of these children very bleak. In addition to providing much needed financial assistance, the program helps maintain stable and rewarding relationships between each child and their sponsor. This simple message of hope can offset some of the effects of the chaotic and insecure conditions in which they live.

The Junior League of Stamford-Norwalk, Inc. (JLSN) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

At P2L we believe that all children have the creative and intellectual power to be a positive agent in their schools, communities, and lives. Our students are challenged on a daily basis by stress, violence, and poverty; this impacts their ability to learn, make positive decisions, and form healthy relationships. For many, these challenges are overwhelming: they struggle academically, fall behind, and drop out. P2L works with students, teachers, and parents to change this trajectory. Through mentoring and interactive curriculum based in learning science, child development, social emotional learning, and neuroscience we help students to build self -image, resiliency, and social skills, and we motivate and teach them self-direction, self-management, and goal setting to enable them to become thriving and successful adults.

To serve as the global repository of historical documents, artifacts, film, and books related to the development of the PR profession. Just as important, we teach students the role of PR in shaping culture, politics and business throughout history. As the world's only such archive for PR materials, we host hundreds of students and scholars from around the world each year. We also produce free events for students showcasing the role of women and minorities in our history-- individuals left out of the textbooks.

Settlement's programs help students achieve artistic, educational and social goals. To reduce the burden of human cancer, research conducted at the Institute for Cancer Research of Fox Chase Cancer Center for over eight decades has led to ground-breaking discoveries affecting science and medicine today. Current research programs are wide-ranging and include gene expression; molecular aspects of oncogenesis; viral molecular biology and pathogenesis; molecular structure and function analysis; pharmacology and therapeutics; regulation and development of the immune system; cell-cycle control; and human genetics. Opportunities are available for postdoctoral fellowships and graduate training and for professionals interested in developing technology-based business relationships or partnerships with Fox Chase.
