The Universidad del Norte Foundation, in accordance with the principles, values and objectives that have guided it since its creation, has as its mission the integral formation of the person in the field of higher education, and the contribution, through its institutional presence in the community, the harmonious development of society and the country, especially the Colombian Caribbean Region. The Foundation carries out this university work both in the undergraduate modality and in advanced training, its work being characterized by a broad social and humanistic content, and by the emphasis on scientific and investigative foundation to respond to the requirements of the progress of science and the social needs of the region and the country. The Institution seeks to train its students as thinking, analytical people with solid ethical principles, who conceive innovative ideas so that they participate in an active, entrepreneurial, responsible, honest, critical and pragmatic way in the process of social, economic and political development. and culture of the community. We stive to provide comprehensive care in a residential setting for children and adolescents between ages 10 and 18 who are experiencing conditions of vulnerability and have been placed under State protection to acheive the restoration of their rights. Our compassionate, multidisciplinary team approaches our educational, psychological, extracurricular, and social services with a personalized and experiential pedagogy that integrates both values and life skills, with the goal of fostering a responsible and autonomous relationship with both family and society at large.

The Antonio Restrepo Barco Foundation, known as Barco Foundation (Fundacion Barco) is a non-governmental organization with more than 50 years of experience to promote the social development. The Foundation has focused its action on making children and adolescents fall in love with their learning processes; the mission of the Foundation is aimed at promoting the development of sustainable, adaptable and measurable educational models to improve learning in girls, boys, adolescents and youth, through alliances, advocacy in public policy and knowledge management, favoring Colombian rurality. This taking into account that a quality education and relevant to individual and territorial characteristics helps to reduce economic and social inequalities, favoring the construction of peace. The Foundation has had a presence in more than 25 departments of the country, the majority with high impact of the armed conflict and vulnerable communities with actions around school permanence and quality education. These actions have been developed by own resources and in partnership with the Colombian public sector, the business sector, academia, other social organizations, and international cooperation.

Corales de Paz is meaningful diving. We promote diving with a purpose. We offer diving activities that generate knowledge, encourage reef stewardship, build individual and institutional capacity, and promote climate change adaptation. We offer opportunities for divers to become scientists, explorers, and heroes, where they get the inspiration to take action against reef degradation. Thus, Corales de Paz is a non-profit organization with a mission to promote the participatory conservation of the ecosystem services provided by coral reefs.

Created in 2002, Vision du Monde is a French humanitarian organization, belonging to World Vision international partnership, which aims at helping the most vulnerable children. Thanks to its Christian DNA and driven by stewardship and human centred values, our NGO is dedicated to tackle the causes of poverty and injustice. We help the most vulnerable children to experience fullness of life, by growing, learning and achieving their dreams in a caring and secured environment. Vision du Monde works with the world's most vulnerable people in the most remote or unstable areas of the world. It serves all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender. Our staff of 25+ deals mainly with global relief, development and advocacy. We pursue this mission through integrated, holistic commitment, working closely with children, families, communities, local authorities. We make sure that each one of them are interviewed and committed from design to fulfilment in our development programmes. Empowered step by step during the ten to fifteen years of a programme, we empower them to set their own goals, settle autonomy and pass on skills and knowledge in a sustainable and community-based outlook. Vision du Monde runs 17 development programmes in 12 countries across 4 continents. It benefits from the 70 years of experience of World Vision, first child sponsorship NGO and first Clean water humanitarian provider in the world, operating in 99 countries with offices in 85 of them. Our mission encompasses, in a global and sustainable development approach, 6 key sectors across clean water, sanitation and hygiene; food security; health; education; child protection and economic development to enable families transform relationships, build resilience and secure source of revenues. World Vision recently launched a new global strategy called Our Promise 2030, contributing to reach Sustainable Development Goals. We work with children who have their rights violated (mistreat, malnourishment, abuse, neglect, among others) and with children who are exposed to situations of high social and psychological risks. In Superarse, we are promoters and guarantors of the rights of the child. We are committed with the protection of children and adolescents, supported in a model of personalization of our services and sustainability, contributing to the construction of individual and familiar life projects.

Tiempo de Juego is a non-profit entity that seeks to foster the adequate use of free time among children and youth in the most vulnerable areas of Colombia. The foundation seeks to distance children from the social ills that surround them and educate them through strategies such as sports and cultural activities. Tiempo de Juego's mission is to spawn social cohesion and development through sports, cultural, recreational, and formative tools whose purpose is the generation of competencies, promotion of values, and the effective use of free time in a responsible and conscientious manner, generating a positive and replicable impact towards a better quality of life for the community and its surroundings. Tiempo de Juego was established in 2006, as a project for the "Communication for Development" program through the "Universidad de la Sabana". After an exhaustive study for more than three years in Cazuca, one of the most marginalized, deprived and violent areas of our country, it was detected that the lack of education and excess of time of the youth, and the fact about 70 percent of the population is classified displaced, was making them more vulnerable to joining different gangs, drug addiction, incurring early pregnancies, as well as being part of the armed outlaw groups that recruit them for very little money. Using soccer as a recreational tool for value formation, accompanied by art workshops, cultural and educational courses, we gathered 400 children between 5 and 18, and the foundation began to inculcate the proper use of leisure time as a positive and useful way to encourage the kids into a brighter and more positive future. Ever since Tiempo de Juego began to operate, the children and young people have changed as has the neighborhood environment. When they celebrate goals or they read a book, this does not seem the most depressing sector of Cundinamarca area, which according to official statistics, over the past 5 years, has had more than 850 murders of young people; this is the area with the highest rate of displacement population second to Choco. A zone where poverty and malnutrition, joining the gangs to participate in the conflict is just a daily experience, where those who are growing only aspire to be part of an armed group that inhabit the area. Tiempo de Juego uses soccer as its main intervention tool to address social problems due to its capacity to convene people and its pedagogical possibilities. The foundation belongs to the football street world network, associated to the FIFA, and applies the FIFA approved rules of street football as the mechanism for the formation of values, formal education as a basis of democracy and the cultural workshops looking to build a fairer society. Also, we work out the values with the parents to achieve a proper family environment. Since 2008, Tiempo de Juego has opened another chapter in Cartagena, Atlantic Cost City, making possible those children and youth of "Las Faldas de la Popa" also to receive these benefits and rights.

Gruppo Aleimar is a non-profit voluntary organization that deals with children and families in need both in Italy and abroad, through the Distance Support, projects of development and awareness-raising and human development activities on the Italian territory. The main areas of our development projects are: 1. Education: taking charge of children in family (natural or adoptive), in foster homes and shelters, schooling and vocational training. 2. Health and hygiene awareness: support to clinics and / or hospitals, funding of surgical operations, seminars for young mothers. 3. Women promotion: start-up of agriculture and livestock, creation of production cooperatives, micro-credit financing. 4. Rural villages' development: water well, kindergarten, solar energy for light and water pumps. 5. Women' refuge and social housing for families in temporary need. The Aleimar Group is active today in 12 countries (Benin, Brazil, Colombia, D.R. Congo, Eritrea, India, Italy, Malawi, Palestine, Kenya, Lebanon, Zambia) with more than 50 projects and takes care directly of 600 children (what we call distance support) and, indirectly, of other 2,500 children that we follow within our projects. The Group comprises Aleimar for overseas project; Tuendelee for Italian projects and Prema, a cooperative for mentally disabled youth. The Group hires five people and relays on the voluntary service of 140 people. Its annual turnover is abt.1,2 million euro and overhead cost is less than 10%. Its balance sheet is checked and approved by internal auditors. We have been granted a seal of quality "Donare con fiducia" by the Istituto Italiano Donazione. RIJ is an independent non-profit organization that funds projects for people displaced by conflict around the world. RIJ supports projects that provide opportunities for people to lead an independent normal life while staying near to home and their loved ones; projects that enable people to give back to the community and make valuable contributions to the local economy as well as rebuilding their own future.
