We advocate strong, enforceable protections for our mountain, for clean air and water, for healthy forests and wildlife habitat. We support a community informed and engaged with the issues and ready to act. We expect leaders and decision makers to learn, understand and act appropriately for citizens and the land, above the influence of outside and exploitive interests. Collaborating with like-minded groups within and beyond our area, we support the best science-based practices for managing resources. We tell the compelling natural and cultural story of our mountain, as we invite and activate people to appreciate and explore it.

Mission and Vision:John Muir Land Trust protects and cares for open space, ranches, farms, parkland and shoreline in the East Bay of Northern California.John Muir Land Trust believes that the vitality of our open spaces is essential to the health of our earth, air, water and our native plants and animals -- and all of us. Our vision is to ensure that the beauty, diversity and fullness of our natural areas continue to enrich and sustain all generations of life. We acquire, protect and steward these diminishing lands, and we foster environmental awareness so that each person understands the need to preserve our natural heritage.

LandPaths' mission is to foster a love of the land in Sonoma County.

San Francisco Bay Area Physicians for Social Responsibility works to protect human life from the gravest threats to health and survival. We educate the public and policy makers on issues regarding environmental health and sustainability, national and global security, nuclear disarmament, social justice, and violence prevention.

Livable City works to create a San Francisco of great streets and complete neighborhoods, where walking, bicycling, and transit are the best choices for most trips, where public spaces are beautiful, well-designed, and well-maintained, and where housing is more plentiful and more affordable.

The GOD'S CHILD Project's mission is "to break the bitter chains of poverty through education, housing and healthcare." While GOD'S CHILD is rooted in education and health-care, we aim to support the communities we serve at every level of development. Through our wide range of programs, we help children and families living in extreme poverty to meet their basic needs and find a restored sense of hope, self-worth and human dignity. Religious affiliation is not a requirement for any program services.

PRKN’s mission is to protect the right to clean water for all communities and all those who live in and rely upon the Potomac and Shenandoah watersheds by stopping pollution, making drinking water safe, protecting healthy river habitats, and enhancing use and enjoyment for all.

Our mission is to preserve land and natural resources throughout New Jersey for the benefit of all.New Jersey Conservation Foundation is one of the nation’s leading statewide land conservation organizations. Working with landowners, public agencies and other conservation partners, we have protected more than 125,000 acres of forest, farmland, wetlands, parks and trails. We manage more than 27,000 acres – more land and conservation easements than any other nonprofit in New Jersey.We offer technical assistance, grants, advocacy and organizational support to the conservation community and have helped foster the formation of many conservation groups.

Our mission is to promote the appreciation, protection, and study of New Jersey’s Native Flora.

The Friends of Shelby is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation, protection, enhancement and stewardship of Shelby Park and Shelby Bottoms. It works to protect the natural and historical integrity of the area by supporting appropriate recreational activities, maintaining and enhancing its features, promoting programs that inspire appreciation and conservation of Park and Bottoms, and advocating for a level playing field for the various user groups.

Grassroots Gardens of Western New York is a dedicated group of community gardeners and activists. Our mission is to share knowledge, power and resources to grow healthy food, heal systemic harm, and strengthen neighborhood connections through community gardens.
