Conceived by older women who love wilderness, Broads gives voice to the millions of older Americans who want to protect their public lands as wilderness for this and future generations. We bring knowledge, commitment, and humor to the movement to protect our last wild places on earth.

Recover, restore and protect the lower Malibu Creek watershed and historical wetland in the heart of Malibu. Educate the general public about the wetland and riparian ecosystem, promote and restore clean and safe water for purposes of recreation, habitat and food sources.

SaveNature.Org’s mission is to link people to save wildlife and wild places through the purchase and protection of habitat in nature. SaveNature’s goal is to bring educational equality to those underserved in our community increasing the opportunity for real and personal environmental stewardship for this generation and future generations. Our educational outreach programs provide a pathway for children to wonder and develop an anchor of belonging to their natural environment. Ultimately building a foundation to ensure youth take responsibility for creating a positive change in their lives, in their community, and, in the world.

We provide job training, classes, and recreation opportunities for some of the Bay Area's most at-risk youth. We also offer services to the community including a bicycle shop and repair facility, a full service wooden boat building shop, and Berkeley's only youth-run coffee shop.

The Homeless Garden Project provides job training, transitional employment and support services to people who are homeless. HGP's vibrant education and volunteer program for the broad community blends formal, experiential and service-learning. The programs take place in our 3-acre organic farm and related enterprises. Founded in 1999, Friends of Reston is a 501c3 organization that performs scientific, educational and charitable projects in support of Reston Association. Some of our community projects include park improvements, camp and tennis scholarships, environmental education and natural areas restoration

For 40 years, the Bird Rescue Center’s purpose has been to assist the public in the rescue of injured, orphaned or ill wild birds. We are licensed by State and Federal Fish and Wildlife agencies (Permit #MB7074770) to treat and release these birds back into the wild. The Bird Rescue Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our offices and primary care facilities are located in Santa Rosa, California. Our service area includes the northern San Francisco Bay counties of Sonoma, Napa, Marin, Lake and Mendocino. Over 90% of our operating budget comes from memberships, grants and donations from local businesses and individuals, and 90% of our staffing hours are provided by volunteers. BRC has recently received awards and grants from the City of Santa Rosa and Sonoma County in support of our Education Program and organizational development. We depend on the efforts of our dedicated volunteers, and contributions from caring individuals.
