The mission of the Adirondack Council is to ensure the ecological integrity and wild character of the Adirondack Park. VIDA is a non-profit organization providing dual service to both Latin America and Northern California by collecting surplus medical supplies and equipment from health institutions, diverting them from landfills, and shipping them to Latin American hospitals and clinics that rely on such donations for the provision of basic health care.
