Earth Island Institute (EII) was founded in 1982 by veteran environmentalist David R. Brower (1912 - 2000) to encourage the efforts of creative individuals on critical ecological issues. Providing for Yosemite's future is our passion. Yosemite Conservancy is the only philanthropic organization dedicated exclusively to the protection and preservation of Yosemite National Park.
