The Environmental Defense Center protects and enhances the local environment through education, advocacy, and legal action.

Our mission is to support public education in the Portland area by providing free school supplies to students in need. We do this because we believe that every child deserves school supplies and has the right to a quality education regardless of their family’s income or racial/ethnic identity. Our ultimate goal is to level the playing field so every child has access to the tools that allow them to achieve academic success and feel confident. The program delivery model achieves additional goals through community engagement and by keeping supplies out of the waste stream.

The mission of the Central Park Conservancy is to restore, manage, and enhance Central Park, in partnership with the public. The Conservancy aspires to build a great organization that sets the standard for and spreads the principles of world-class park management--emphasizing environmental excellence--to improve the quality of open space for the enjoyment of all. The Conservancy is committed to sustaining this operating model to provide a legacy for future generations of park users.

Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to protect marine life in the Gulf of Maine through research, education and inspiring action.

Our goal is to improve the degraded water quality of the marine waters off the New Jersey/New York coast. Clean Ocean Action will identify the sources of pollution and mount an attack on each source by using research, public education, and citizen action to convince our public officials to enact and enforce measures which will clean up and protect our ocean.

The mission of AAI is to build hope and empower communities afflicted by armed conflict and severe poverty. We believe that peace, security and respect for human dignity are inseparable. Our goal is to develop programs as sustainable models that can be replicated globally. Our people-to-people initiatives integrate health, education, arts and livelihood as a basis for mediation. By building Hope, we overcome the hatred propagated by terror organizations.
