THE FOUNDATION ASPIRES TO FACILITATE THE USE OF SOLAR ENERGY IN POOR COMMUNITIES AROUND THE WORLD WHERE HARNESSING THE POWER OF THE SUN WILL ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF THOSE COMMUNITIES. tHE FOUNDATION HELPS INSTALL SOLAR POWER IN SOME OF THE POOREST PARTS OF THE WORLD, INCLUDING AFRICA, ASIA AND LATIN AMERICA: PLACES THAT ARE RICH IN THEIR ACCESS TO THE SUN BUT LACK FUNDAMENTAL RESOURCES.

The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to drive bold, science-based action to sustain a dynamic coastal Louisiana through engagement and advocacy. Recognizing that Louisiana’s coastal land-loss will have dramatic impacts on the nation’s energy, navigation and fisheries interests, CRCL works at the state, local and federal level to ensure that restoring and protecting coastal Louisiana is a top priority for our state and the nation. We facilitate and fund actual restoration projects and we work diligently to raise awareness and educate others about the importance of preserving and restoring coastal Louisiana.

The Ian Somerhalder Foundation works to empower, educate and collaborate with people and projects to positively impact the planet and its creatures. ISF delivers unique programs and services and provides public outreach, education, and grants in support of Creatures, Environment, Youth, and Grassroots initiatives.

The Indian River Lakes Conservancy (IRLC) is a land trust that was established in 1998 to protect the water quality, wildlife, and beauty of the Indian River Lakes area, and to preserve its natural character. The Indian River Lakes system, located on the St. Lawrence River plain in Jefferson and St. Lawrence Counties, consists of 18 natural lakes. The IRLC protects 2,500 acres of land and maintains more than 20 miles of public trails. Through community building and educational programming, the IRLC seeks to cultivate an enduring recognition of our interconnectedness and of our responsibility to walk softly upon the earth so that future generations can enjoy the lakes as we do now.

The mission of the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is to inspire people to live in harmony with the natural world by fostering love, appreciation, and understanding of the Sonoran Desert. The Museum is regularly listed as one of the top ten zoological parks in the world due to its unique approach in interpreting the complete natural history of a single region (in our case this is the Sonoran Desert and adjacent ecosystems). Not a “museum" in the usual sense, it is an unparalleled composite of plant, animal, and geologic collections with the goal of making the Sonoran Desert accessible, understandable, and valued.

Royal River Conservation Trust envisions the Royal River’s communities woven together by accessible rivers, streams, and corridors of conserved land reaching Casco Bay. With a growing population, it is vital that these special places are protected for exploration, learning, growth and nourishment of the soul.
