The mission of AAI is to build hope and empower communities afflicted by armed conflict and severe poverty. We believe that peace, security and respect for human dignity are inseparable. Our goal is to develop programs as sustainable models that can be replicated globally. Our people-to-people initiatives integrate health, education, arts and livelihood as a basis for mediation. By building Hope, we overcome the hatred propagated by terror organizations. The success of these cost-effective models shows that empowering impoverished and conflict-plagued communities strengthens international security, stability and peace.

Protecting over 2.0 million acres of wilderness in the Amboseli-Tsavo-Kilimanjaro ecosystem of East Africa, Big Life partners with local communities to protect nature for the benefit of all. Since its inception, Big Life has expanded to employ hundreds of local Maasai rangers—with more than 30 permanent outposts and tent-based field units, 14 patrol vehicles, 2 tracker dogs, and 2 planes for aerial surveillance. Co-founded in September 2010 by photographer Nick Brandt, conservationist Richard Bonham, and entrepreneur Tom Hill, Big Life was the first organization in East Africa to establish coordinated cross-border anti-poaching operations.

Our mission is to empower women and youths, especially adolescent girls, to have expanded personal choices, explore their potentials, and control their future so that we can close gender gaps and challenge actions which stunt girls' development in the communities where we operate. The Illinois Conservation Foundation inspires today's youth - tomorrow's leaders - by providing quality outdoor education and programs that instill interest in conservation, ecology and sustainability.

The mission of the Howard County Conservancy is to educate children and adults about the natural world, preserve the land and its legacy for future generations and model responsible stewardship of our environment.

We are a community of people inspired to preserve, protect and restore our world-renowned mountain environment. We advocate strong, enforceable protections for our mountain, for clean air and water, for healthy forests and wildlife habitat. We support a community informed and engaged with the issues and ready to act. We expect leaders and decision makers to learn, understand and act appropriately for citizens and the land, above the influence of outside and exploitive interests. Collaborating with like-minded groups within and beyond our area, we support the best science-based practices for managing resources. We tell the compelling natural and cultural story of our mountain, as we invite and activate people to appreciate and explore it.

Through our annual "Denver Digs Trees" program, we distribute and plant more than 1,000 public trees each spring. Many of these trees are planted in Denver's most underserved neighborhoods. Our volunteer "Community Forester" program trains citizens to act as stewards over Denver's urban forest. The Park People manages Denver's Gates Tennis Center -- one of the country's premier public tennis facilities. We also raise private funds for public park projects, including building renovation, landscape projects, and historic preservation of park structures.

Washington Trails Association mobilizes hikers and everyone who loves the outdoors to explore, steward and champion trails and public lands.

The Continental Divide Trail Coalition's mission is to complete, protect, and elevate the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail.

The Idaho Conservation League works to protect Idaho's environment by protecting the air you breathe, the water you drink and the land you love.We know that the values we hold are shared by many Idahoans, so we work diligently to be Idaho's leading voice for conservation. ICL's goal is to create an informed and engaged conservation majority in Idaho. By building a robust conservation community, we hope to influence local, state and federal policies to ensure adequate protections for clean water, clean air, healthy families and Idaho's unique way of life.
