London Health Sciences Foundation (LHSF) is a charity accredited by Imagine Canada and the Better Business Bureau, dedicated to strengthening LHSC’s ability to provide the highest-quality health care to patients in London and throughout Southwestern Ontario. Donations to LHSF fund innovative equipment, research, education and enhanced patient care at LHSC, a teaching hospital and leader in medical research offering the broadest range of specialized clinical services in Ontario.

The Eldercare Foundation directly supports Aberdeen, Mt. Tolmie, Glengarry, Priory, Heritage Woods and Oak Bay Lodge. There are over 700 residents who call one of these care facilities 'home'. The Foundation also supports community programs for seniors such as Adult Day Programs, Community Bathing Programs, the Piercy Respite Hotel and the Yakimovich Wellness Centre which provides free education to seniors and their families to help them navigate the journey of aging. Through our Education Endowment Program, we provide funding to help professional caregivers upgrade their skills and knowledge to better care for our valued elders. Through our Embrace Aging initiative, we are reaching further into the community to promote and inspire positive aging and raise awareness about the many resources, educational opportunities and activities available to seniors and their family caregivers to help them Be Well; Be Secure; Be Connected and Be Enriched ~ our four pillars of positive aging.

Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island is a registered charity whose purpose is to raise funds to support the health and well being of children and youth in need on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Our roots go back to 1922, and we were previously known as the Queen Alexandra Foundation for Children. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and audited annually, funds are carefully allocated to facilities, services, programs, special projects and urgently needed medical equipment that help ensure children and youth develop to their full potential. Children mean the world to us.

Lung Cancer Canada (LCC) is the only charity whose sole mission is to raise awareness, provide patient focused information and offer peer support to everyone touched by lung cancer. Founded in 2002 by caregivers and healthcare professionals who were concerned about the lack of information, treatment options and support, LCC has grown to be the nationally recognized source for reliable, non judgemental services and lung cancer information. Through the first Canadian patient focused Lung Cancer Resource Centre and Library, LCC offers a variety of resources for information and peer support free of charge to anyone in Canada. Governed by a volunteer Board of 12 Directors and supported by a Medical Advisory Committee, LCC is a volunteer driven registered charity. All Committees and Task Forces are made up of LCC volunteers. Our volunteers are medical professionals, caregivers, survivors and others touched by lung cancer.

Since 2003 we have funded over 700 initiatives, partnering with over 300 community-based, grassroots organizations in 15 countries. These grassroots groups are a lifeline for their communities: they provide education and counselling about HIV prevention, care and treatment; distribute food, medication and other necessities; reach into the homes of the sick and vulnerable through holistic home-based care; help children orphaned by AIDS and other vulnerable children gain access to education and cope with their grief; and support grandmothers, who are overwhelmingly the caregivers for their orphaned grandchildren. We exist to meaningfully collaborate on this important work, and to support the processes by which grassroots groups share ideas, strategize for change, and build unified networks across the African continent. The Parkdale Food Centre is part of the Ottawa Food Bank’s distribution network. It serves the Hintonburg, Mechanicsville, Civic Hospital and Wellington West neighbourhoods. It is a not-for-profit, volunteer- run organization that provides emergency food aid to individuals and families in need. The Centre is funded in part by the City of Ottawa and local churches, with additional donations provided by individuals and local businesses. The Centre is currently experiencing a budget shortfall so is in the midst of a fundraising drive to support its 2014 programs. Our Mission At the Parkdale Food Centre, our mission is to provide healthy food, nutritional education and a warm and welcoming environment to our neighbors in need.

Martha’s Table operates a hot meal program and drop-in center facilitated in a comfortable restaurant atmosphere. We serve those less fortunate in our community seeking food, comfort, understanding and friendship, as well as shelter during the day. We serve an average of 120 meals per day Monday through Friday. We serve the homeless, the unemployed, the underemployed and disadvantaged families in Kingston.

Serving individuals with Acquired Brain Injury, their families, and their communities in the Belleville, Trenton, Picton, Napanee and Bancroft areas. Proud to be a United Way Member Agency.

Hospice Renfrew provides end-of-life care to people who are experiencing life-threatening or terminal illness. This small, comfortable, home-like palliative care residence serves individuals and families throughout Renfrew County and the surrounding area. Hospice Renfrew provides 24-hour nursing care, with physician support, at no cost to the patient in an inclusive setting where family and friends can be an integral part of the care.

The Mental Health Foundation is an non-profit organization dedicated to helping those afflicted by mental health issues and addiction find the care and supports they need. While raising funds for community projects the Mental Health Foundation advocates for a better understanding of mental health and addiction issues and provides a directory of mental health services for those in need. The Mental Health Foundation is an Alberta-based organization servicing the Edmonton and surrounding area.
