To that end, we are part of the oldest and largest women’s social service organization in Canada. We have been providing professional and accessible services for women and their families at the YWCA Edmonton for over 100 years. Since our founding in 1945 by a group of World War II veterans, SCI Ontario has been committed to reaching out and responding to the needs of all Ontarians with spinal cord injuries and their families. It is estimated that over 365 new permanent injuries occur in Ontario yearly. The majority of new injuries are experienced by young men between the ages of 15 and 34. From the moment of injury, SCI Ontario has been there to help through our core programs and services; peer counselling and support, rehabilitation counselling, vocation/ employment services, community advocacy, case management, information services, and attendant services. Formerly known as Canadian Paraplegic Association Ontario.

Crohn's and Colitis Canada is a national not-for-profit voluntary medical research Foundation. Its mission is to find the cure for inflammatory bowel disease. The Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton County is a registered non-profit charitable organization governed by a Board of Directors. The Society works in partnership with the Cape Breton District Health Authority Palliative Care Service and other community programs to meet the many needs of palliative care patients and their families.

The Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation raises funds for Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH), Dufferin Place Extended Care Facility (Nanaimo), Eagle Park Health Care Facility (Qualicum Beach), Trillium Lodge (Parksville) and the Oceanside Health Centre (Parksville). The Neurofibromatosis Society of Ontario was founded in 1985. We hold bi-annual meetings in the Toronto area with related guest speakers. We offer an opportunity for people with NF to network and share their feelings and concerns with others through social activities in a friendly atmosphere of acceptance.

Founded in 1979, the Schizophrenia Society of Canada (SSC) is a national registered charity. SSC works in a federation model with 10 provincial societies and their over 100 chapters/branches, to alleviate the suffering caused by schizophrenia and related mental disorders. To this end, SSC and its provincial affiliates carry out public awareness & education, family/individual support, advocacy and research funding initiatives and programs.

Founded in 1940, Canadian Hearing Society (CHS) is a non-profit , multi-service agency with a long history of offering programs to deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people and their families.

This is accomplished through support counselling, skill development and social/recreational programs.
