Fox Chase's mission is to reduce the burden of human cancer through the pursuit of knowledge in basic biological research; to conduct research specifically related to cancer causes, prevention, and treatment; and to apply this knowledge to the prevention of cancer and the treatment of cancer patients. Fox Chase has the oldest and third-largest cancer center support grant from the National Cancer Institute and is the oldest cancer specialty hospital in the nation. In January 2000, Fox Chase opened the nation's first facility devoted to comprehensive cancer prevention research. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) is changing the lives of children with cancer by funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer. When Alex, who was diagnosed with childhood cancer just before her first birthday, was 4, she told her parents she wanted to set up a front yard lemonade stand. Her plan: to give the money to doctors to help them find a cure. Her first “Alex’s Lemonade Stand,” held with the help of her older brother Patrick, raised an astonishing $2,000 in one day. While bravely fighting her own cancer, Alex continued to set up lemonade stands every year. As news spread of the remarkable girl so dedicated to helping other sick children, people everywhere were inspired to start their own lemonade stands — donating the proceeds to her cause. In 2004 when Alex passed away at the age of 8 — her stand and inspiration had raised more than $1 million towards finding a cure for the disease that took her life. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) was started by her parents in 2005 to continue the work that Alex began. Our mission is simple: to change the lives of children with cancer through funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer. Since Alex set up her first lemonade stand in 2000 — truly exemplifying the saying “When life hands you lemons, make lemonade” — we have raised more than $250 million. That money has helped to: - Fund more than 1,000 cutting-edge research projects at nearly 150 institutions. - Create a Travel For Care program to help support families of children receiving treatment and develop resources, such as our SuperSibs program to help people everywhere affected by childhood cancer. The Child Cancer Fund was founded in 1994 by a group of Jacksonville, FL parents whose children were being treated for cancer; they understood the stress, anxiety and heartache of a childhood cancer diagnosis. We provide practical, emotional, financial, and educational support to children and their families every step of the way to navigate the challenges of childhood cancer.

The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation works to eliminate the challenges of childhood brain tumors. Our vision is a cure for childhood brain tumors.

From the website: "American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities (ALSAC) was founded by Danny Thomas in 1957 to be the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and its sole mission is to raise the funds and awareness necessary to operate and maintain the hospital. In the years ahead, an estimated 89% of the funds necessary to sustain and grow St. Jude must be raised by ALSAC from generous donors."

The NPCF (founded May 2009) strives to provide quality of life, sustainability and dignity to those we serve. Through our volunteers we provide an opportunity of hope and caring for those afflicted by this devastating disease. We also provide the opportunity for their family members to help fight one of the leading causes of cancer deaths in the United States. There is no known cure, however, there are new developments everyday to prolong and sustain the quality of life of the patient.

To maximize dollars available for Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center's most promising lifesaving research, treatment and prevention programs, while supporting the psychosocial needs of patients and families touched by cancer. Fundraising events and initiatives are carried out through a partnership between committed Roswell Park Alliance volunteers and Foundation staff.

Kids v Cancer promotes pediatric cancer research by identifying structural impediments at key junctures in the process of drug development. This includes removing barriers to research, increasing access to funding, and providing incentives for innovative drug research. We develop strategies to address these issues and create regulatory, legislative and institutional changes to create long lasting and efficient change in the landscape of pediatric cancer drug development.
