For over 30 years, Geneva Centre for Autism has been the leader in developing and teaching the most effective techniques to assist individuals affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). It is the only Centre of its kind in Canada, and an international leader in the autism field. We provide direct intervention, counselling, information and support services to more than 4,200 children and families in the Greater Toronto, Peel, Halton, Dufferin, Simcoe and York regions. In addition, our Training Institute provides education and skill building opportunities to parents and professionals to help build community capacity to integrate children with autism into classrooms and communities. Professionals from around the world contract with our Training Institute for workshops. In total, more than 18,000 people access our services and resources each year.

Fairhaven has 256 residents, most of whom need nursing or special care. We have one floor designated to the care of people with special needs such as residents with advanced Alzheimer’s or dementia. We are co-owned by the City and County of Peterborough and are a non-profit organization. The Fairhaven Foundation raises money on behalf of Fairhaven in order to give its residents as high a quality of life as possible. Money raised pays for necessary items like medical lifts, physiotherapy equipment, and improvements to the building to help make each and every resident feel cared-for, comfortable, and ‘at home’.

Fanconi Canada raises money for research into finding a cure and/or treatments for Fanconi Anemia. Fanconi Canada also raises awareness among members of the general public and the medical community about Fanconi Anemia, its diagnosis and methods of treatment and provides support to affected Canadian families. Fanconi Canada received charitable status in Canada under the Income Tax Act in June 1994 and was incorporated in February 2000. The charity has no paid staff, but is managed by dedicated volunteers. All money raised through public donations supports medical research, while administrative expenses are absorbed by FA families.

The Ottawa Hospital Foundation was established on April 1, 2000 as a result of the merger of the foundations of the Civic and General Hospital. We work closely with our partners, including health care professionals, researchers, donors and volunteers, to encourage the community to support The Ottawa Hospital (Civic, General and Riverside campuses). As one of the largest teaching hospitals in Canada, The Ottawa Hospital provides comprehensive, high quality, patient-focused health care services for more than 1.5 million residents of eastern Ontario.

The Alexandra Hospital provides a range of services, including 24/7 Emergency Services, Inpatient Care, Diagnostic and Laboratory Services, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Day Surgery and a variety of clinics. The Alexandra Hospital Foundation supports the Hospital in their role by providing funding to assist with their equipment needs.

The North Peace Pregnancy Care Centre is a locally organized and supported society whose desire is to support people in crisis pregnancy.

Our Children, Our Future / Nos enfants, notre avenir provides family/parent support programs for expecting parents and parents of children up to six years of age to help parents improve their parenting skills and learn effective ways to maximize the development of their children during the critical early years (0-6 years old) which will have a positive impact for the rest of their lives.

Spending of World Hope Canada funds is confined to Board approved projects. Funds designated towards a project are used as designated, with the understanding that when the need for that project has been met, or cannot be completed for reasons determined by the Board, the remaining funds designated will be used where needed most.

The Scleroderma Society of Canada is a registered charity, staffed entirely by volunteers, dedicated to serving the interests of those concerned with the disease called scleroderma, or systemic sclerosis. The purpose of the Scleroderma Society of Canada is to provide support for people concerned with this disease. It serves as an advocate at the national level and works collaboratively with the regional scleroderma organizations in Canada to achieve common objectives. All donations are dedicated to supporting research and to promoting greater awareness of scleroderma. By far the largest proportion of funds received through donations goes to support research. We appreciate your support and encourage you to continue working with us in the fight against this dreadful disease.

Hope for Freedom offers programs, shelters and advocacy for men and women seeking recovery from addiction and homelessness. Founded in 1997 we are a registered, non-profit society situated on the outskirts of Greater Vancouver in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. Our Board of Directors consists of a group of committed Christian men and women, who govern the society in accordance with our constitution.

GOALS & OBJECTIVES a)Relieving poverty by developing and initiating projects which provide for the necessities of life as well as providing basic life skills to help them get out of poverty. b)Promoting health care with individuals and communities by developing, and initiating projects that improve sanitary conditions, teach hygiene, provide the means to live in a hygienic environment and provide health care.

Hill House Hospice is a home-like alternative to institutional care and in-home care for those who are in the final stage of a terminal illness. The creation of an appropriate environment is an essential part of the holistic concept of care. Therefore, the selection of the site for Hill House Hospice was of primary importance. Located in the heart of Richmond Hill, Ontario, the home is well-situated to meet the needs of the broader York Region community. Hill House is set on approximately one acre of land. In addition to beautiful grounds, the house includes three bedrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen and a large livingroom with a fireplace. The House can accommodate up to three residents at a time. Hill House has many areas where family members and friends can have privacy, meditate or just take time for reflection. Hill House is a home in every sense of the word - filled with laughter, tears and memories.
