The mission of The Mowat-Wilson Foundation is to enhance the lives of people affected by Mowat-Wilson Syndrome by providing family support, raising awareness, and supporting research and education.Mowat-Wilson Syndrome is a recently discovered syndrome (defined in 1998) and much is still being learned about the physical, behavioral and developmental issues associated with this rare genetic disorder. Major signs include: distinctive facial features, intellectual disability, delayed development, intestinal disorders, seizures, congenital heart disease, agenesis of the corpus callosum, male genital abnormalities (hypospadias), and major expressive language difficulty.

Retina Foundation Of The Southwest

The mission of the Retina Foundation of the Southwest is to prevent vision loss and restore sight through innovative research and treatment. Retina Foundation is making a difference in the lives of children and adults living with devastating eye diseases and conditions. Our five laboratories are currently participating in more than 60 clinical research studies and providing more than 2,000 vision assessments each year completely free of charge. Our evaluations are unique because many of our testing methods are only available at our facility in Dallas, Texas. Patients are referred by local ophthalmologists to help in the diagnosis and treatment of their vision loss. Our goal is to continue advancing sight saving treatments to make a lifetime of good vision a reality for everyone.

International Eye Foundation

International Eye Foundation is dedicated to helping people see! Since 1961 IEF has taken up the challenge in poor countries around the world, helping to restore sight and prevent blindness. IEF offers strong new strategic directions that focus on making eye clinics financially self sufficient. IEFs achievements include developing eye health services, training ophthalmologists and para-medicals, and fighting vitamin A deficiency, trachoma and river blindness. IEF is now strengthening the management, quality of service, and income generating activities so that eye clinics are less dependent on outside donors and government funds.
