Hospice Northwest is a non-profit charity operating in Thunder Bay and area since 1987. The organization was founded with the sole purpose of providing compassionate support to persons living with a life limiting illness and their caregivers. Services throughout the District of Thunder Bay are provided primarily by volunteers, congruent with provincial and national standards of practice.

Changing The Face Of ALS (formerly BodyScience ALS Foundation) is tied to the BodyScience clinic and focuses on supporting people with ALS by promoting innovative, clinic-based therapies and helping advance related research and patient support (including offsetting treatment costs). In other words, the organization centers on improving outcomes and access to emerging ALS treatments and services through clinical programs and fundraising.

Led by our dedicated volunteer Board of Directors, the Foundation will strive to help ensure the best healthcare for the people of Halton Hills. Our success in raising funds for the Hospital will be based on trust built through accountability, cost-effective programs, and a donor-centred approach to fundraising, recognition and stewardship. Our volunteers and staff demonstrate caring, empathy and compassion with a view to providing personal service and establishing long-term relationships with members of the community. We use your gifts to fund medical equipment our patients need that is not funded by the Ministry of Health. Your generosity helps us buy things such as surgical instruments, equipment for the ER, and important items required by our Obstetrics Department.

The Kopp Foundation for Diabetes is a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to empowering young people affected by Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Our mission is to create a supportive community where youth can lead, advocate, and innovate for a healthier future. We believe in “by youth and for youth” leadership, equipping the next generation with the tools to raise awareness, promote education, and drive meaningful change in diabetes care. Through advocacy, peer support, and partnerships, we work to break down barriers, amplify youth voices, and inspire action toward a world where no young person feels alone in their T1D journey.

The LGS Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals impacted by LGS through advancing research, awareness, education, and family support. Our vision is to end the suffering and devastation caused by LGS. Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS) is a severe epilepsy syndrome that develops in young children and often leads to lifelong disability.

Colorectal cancer is currently the second leading cause of cancer death overall for men and women in Canada. Approximately 22 500 people will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer this year and sadly 9 100 will die of the disease. Despite these shocking numbers, the disease is still not well known or well understood. Current scientific literature indicates that up to 90% or more of colorectal cancer can be successfully treated or prevented through early detection and removal of pre-cancerous polyps and through diet and regular exercise.

The cornerstone of hospice and palliative care is the belief that individuals and families coping with incurable and progressive illness should be cared for compassionately. Hospice by the Bay's mission is to alleviate pain; to prevent and treat conditions that might otherwise threaten the quality of life; and to provide support to the patient's family and loved ones, including grief counseling for adults, teens and children.

The Community Hospice is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing high quality end-of-life care to residents of eight counties covering over 4,000 square miles in Upstate New York State. Some of the most vulnerable people in our community are those who are struggling with advanced illness, facing the end of life, and recovering from the loss of a loved one. The Community Hospice is committed to serving these people. While insurance reimbursements cover most costs, they do not fund the programs and services that reach out to care for Hospice patients and families in a comprehensive way. No one is turned away due to financial need. That is where your active support comes in. You can join the caregiving team by considering a donation to The Community Hospice. Contributions provide funds for community bereavement services, community awareness, educational programs, and special services so that Hospice care is readily available, fully understood, and appropriately utilized by those in need. The Lupus Research Alliance is the largest nongovernmental, nonprofit funder of lupus research worldwide. The organization aims to transform treatment while advancing toward a cure by funding the most innovative lupus research; fostering diverse scientific talent; stimulating collaborations; and driving discovery toward better diagnostics, improved treatments and, ultimately, a cure for lupus. Because the Lupus Research Alliance’s Board of Directors funds all administrative and fundraising costs, 100% of all donations goes to support lupus research programs.
