Hope Haven is a Therapeutic Community that provides a foundation of recovery for individuals and families impacted by substance use disorder so they can build healthy independent lives.

MHO achieves its mission through its services of Emergency Home Repair,Rural Home Rehabilitation, New Homes, Self-Help Homeownership, Downpayment Assistance, and Community Rental Investments. These programs are offered to low income residents of Asheville and Buncombe County. Priorities are given to elderly, disabled, and working, one- or two- parent households.

WHO WE ARE THE VINCENT OBIOMA OHAJU MEMORIAL (VOOM) FOUNDATION WAS ESTABLISHED TO RAISE STANDARD OF CARE AND CREATE A SUSTAINABLE MEDICAL PROGRAM IN NIGERIA. VOOM FOUNDATION WAS BORN FROM THE VISION OF DR. VINCENT OHAJU, CHIEF OF SURGERY & MEDICAL DIRECTOR FOR TRAUMA SERVICES AT CHI ST. JOSEPH HEALTH IN BRYAN, TEXAS. ORIGINALLY FROM THE TOWN OF IHITTE, IN SOUTH EASTERN NIGERIA, DR. OHAJU HAD PERSONALLY WITNESSED THE EFFECTS OF INADEQUATE AVAILABLE MEDICAL CARE ON FRIENDS AND FAMILY. HIS FATHER, VINCENT OBIOMA OHAJU PASSED AWAY IN 1983 AT THE AGE OF 56 DUE TO COMPLICATIONS FROM PULMONARY ASPIRATION. A SIMPLE PROCEDURE SUCH AS BRONCHOSOCOPY READILY AVAILABLE IN EVEN THE SMALLEST HOSPITAL IN THE UNITED STATES COULD HAVE PREVENTED HIS DEMISE. IT WAS A CLOSE AND PERSONAL REMINDER TO DR. OHAJU THAT OVER 95% OF THE PEOPLE IN NIGERIA LIVE WITHOUT ESSENTIAL MEDICAL SERVICES. IN 2016 THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION RANKED NIGERIA 163 OUT OF 190 COUNTRIES IN HEALTHCARE. The Trini Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping people with substance use disorder find long-term recovery by building environments of physical, mental, and spiritual support through integrating recovery services with Ashtanga yoga and mindfulness practices.

Amber Reineck House is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to acquiring affordable properties to be used by non-profit organizations as housing and treatment services for persons seeking long-term recovery. Our vision is to reduce stigma associated with addiction by building a recovery-friendly community, providing education, and increasing acceptance and support.

Since then the organization has grown and expanded to reflect the changing needs of the people and communities served. Today, the National Alliance for Hispanic Health is the premier science-based and community-driven organization that focuses on the best health for all. Community-based members provide services to more than 15 million Hispanics throughout the U.S. every year and national organization members provide services to more than 100 million people annually.
