Founded in 2005, Hughes Foundation is a lifeline for people affected by HIV/AIDS in India and the USA.

Providing aid for HIV, hunger and homeless youth programs in the SF Bay Area.

Since our founding, we have been committed to fighting the HIV epidemic until this crisis is over. Advances in treatment and new prevention strategies have now made “Getting to Zero” – zero stigma, zero new infections, and zero deaths – an achievable goal! The focus of all of our programs is to help achieve this goal. Our From All Walks of Life Fund supports the most vulnerable people living with HIV through financial assistance grants during times of crisis. Our annual back-to-school and holiday toy drives support HIV infected/affected youth. Our public awareness and education efforts are designed to combat the stigmas associated with HIV, and to raise awareness and educate the community about the newest prevention strategies, including PrEP (pre-exposure prophylactics), PEP (post exposure prophylactics), TasP (treatment as prevention) and the advances in the care and treatment of HIV.

Our mission is to end HIV transmission and stigma through peer-to-peer empowerment, building community, and connecting members to care.

Afrika Tikkun was founded in 1994 soon after the emergence of Democracy in South Africa. Our visionary founders-- the late Chief Rabbi Cyril Harris and philanthropist and businessman, late Bertie Lubner-- had a vision of focusing on children knowing they represented the future of the country, which inspired the-then President Nelson Mandela to volunteer as our Patron-in-Chief-- an honor that he only bestowed on four organizations during his lifetime. In 2002 he wrote: “Afrika Tikkun demonstrates in a practical and sustainable manner what can be done with limited resources, great commitment and passion. It is my belief that Afrika Tikkun represents the best of what civil society can offer in partnership with Government’s considerable efforts.” For the last 22 years, Afrika Tikkun has worked to redress the consequences of institutionalized oppression in South Africa. Our unique Cradle-to-Career development model enables our 550+ employees to deliver services addressing holistic educational, medical and economic needs of marginalized youth from early infancy through adulthood, inspiring and enabling them to become productive citizens and leaders. Our mission is to be the gateway to good health for those at risk of or affected by HIV/AIDS, for the LGBTQ community, and for those seeking a welcoming healthcare home.

Shanti Project exists to enhance the health, quality of life and well-being of people with terminal, life-threatening or disabling illnesses or conditions. Through a continuum of services, including in-home and onsite patient and care navigation, emotional and practical support and preserving the human-animal bond, Shanti strives to achieve the highest medical and quality of life outcomes for San Francisco’s most vulnerable.

Our mission is to empower women, girls, and their families by providing them with the skills and linkages to meet their self-defined needs, increase their access to care and support, and engage them so that they are best equipped to ‘own’ their health outcomes, improve their quality of life, and protect their rights.

We empower Nairobi children living in poverty to transform their lives through education and support, leading to employment.

Action Wellness enhances the lives of individuals living with HIV and other serious chronic illnesses by providing holistic and trauma-informed health, prevention, and supportive services. The agency empowers those it serves to rise beyond the barriers of disease to achieve wellness and increased stability within the community.

Caring Communities for AIDS is a non-profit community-based organization serving Northeast and North Central Pennsylvania that provides a system of comprehensive services to prevent, test and treat HIV/HCV/STD and other public health disparities while creating educated, stigma-free communities.

1. CHAP educates the public about HIV disease, its impact upon individuals and the community, and current treatments;2. CHAP coordinates the efforts of existing public or private resources for persons living with HIV/AIDS;3. CHAP works to discover unmet needs of persons with HIV/AIDS and their families;4. CHAP stimulates and supports appropriate community responses to meet those needs.
