Founded in 1968, the mission of Our Little Brothers & Sisters(OLBS) is to support the efforts of Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos(NPH) in helping orphaned and abandoned children in Latin America and Haiti by providing food, clothing, shelter, medicine, education and vocational training in a nurturing family environment. OLBS is founded upon the principles of unconditional love and acceptance. Orphaned and abandoned children who are welcomed into OLBS supported homes are never asked to leave or given up for adoption. In addition to providing support for homes for orphan children, OLBS reaches out into the community. [USE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL COLORADO FOUNDATION -- NOT THIS EIN] It starts with our mission, established in 1908: To improve the health of children through the provision of high-quality, coordinated programs of patient care, education, research and advocacy. We carry that mission, that desire to exceed, through to our vision. Our vision: Child Health. Reimagined. Realized. We'll stand by our values in everything we do. So, what do a mission and a vision have to say about treating your child? A lot. Because while you didn't sit down and write a mission statement when you became a parent, you surely realized the importance of your new role. Having the responsibility and care of another's life, another's future, can feel daunting. And, ultimately, incredibly rewarding. That's why you'll find everyone at Children's Hospital Colorado takes to heart their role—their responsibility in the care of a child's health and well-being. We'll stand by our values in everything we do: For a child's sake... We are a caring community called to honor the sacred trust of our patients, families and each other through humble expertise, generous service and boundless creativity. ...This is the moment.
