The Miles Hall Foundation

The Mission of The Miles Hall Foundation is support families by educating communities about mental illness and protect those impacted with mental illness from excessive use of force by law enforcement. We do this life-saving work to honor the life and legacy of Miles Hall, who was killed by the Walnut Creek police in June of 2019 during a mental health crisis. Our work falls into three categories, prevention, education, and advocacy.

The mission of Clackamas Women's Services is to break the isolation of domestic and sexual violence. Clackamas Women’s Services helps individuals and families experiencing and healing from domestic and sexual violence, child and elder abuse, stalking, dating violence, and trafficking. We work with survivors currently experiencing violence to plan for their safety, as well as help to heal from trauma in the past. Our programs and services are free, confidential, available in multiple languages, and with any accommodations needed. Our support is available regardless of gender identification, sexual orientation, age, and immigration status to ensure anyone escaping violence can access the resources they deserve. We honor the depth and diversity of lived experiences across our community. National Veterans Foundation

The National Veterans Foundation (NVF) was founded in 1985 to help veterans streamline the process of accessing help for the myriad of needs they face, and to help broaden public understanding of these needs--including crisis/PTSD counseling, medical treatment, legal aid, VA benefits assistance, food, shelter, education, employment training, homelessness services, and substance abuse treatment. The NVF operates the Nation's only live, toll-free crisis management, information, and referral helpline (1-888-777-4443; [email protected]) for all veterans and their families; coordinates Public Awareness Programs designed to increase awareness and understanding about the effects of war and human needs of Americas veterans; and conducts ongoing outreach programs that provide veterans and families in need with food, clothing, transportation, employment, and other essential resources.

P.A.L.S. for Healing

P.A.L.S. for Healing is a nonprofit mental health organization dedicated to providing education, art therapy, EMDR and other trauma informed therapies to help people who have suffered trauma and/or loss. Individuals can experience trauma from direct and indirect exposure to an event(s) that leaves them feeling helpless, terror and unsafe. Some of these experiences can include divorce, having an incarcerated parent, being in the foster care system, serving in the military, having a family member in the military, responding to crisis situations, domestic violence, bullying, the death of a loved one and natural disasters. P.A.L.S. for Healing has three locations within Cuyahoga county and provides offsite group and individual services within Cuyahoga, lake and summit counties. We also provide professional workshops and trainings for individuals and organizations.
