All of the founding members of CTF have had some personal experience with dementia or other related cognitive disorders, and have been disappointed with the lack of available and effective drugs and therapeutics in today’s market. Rooms of Hope is a 501(c) non-profit organization serving 9 counties that make up the San Francisco Bay Area. Rooms of Hope gives back a little bit of control to sick children who often lose their say in daily activities, including going to school or having play dates because of their depressed immune systems and need for medical attention. Usually, they can no longer participate in sports or other extracurricular activities. Daily routines go from being “normal” to now being all about hospital visits or being at home while the rest of world moves forward without them. But we bring something wonderful to look forward to and give each child their voice. This gift goes on well beyond their amazing reveal of their dream space. While at home, this is their place of inspiration, healing and solace.
