Casa de Esperanza mobilizes Latinas and Latin@ communities to end gender-based violence. We were founded in 1982 when a small group of Latina activists created an emergency shelter for Latinas who were denied domestic violence services from mainstream systems. For 38 years, we have served a highly marginalized population in culturally relevant ways that translate to greater safety, community connectedness, and self-sufficiency for Latin@s who experience domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking. Our work builds and leverages the communities’ strengths, cultural assets, and leadership to shift beliefs and behaviors within family and social networks, which we believe will create the conditions and solutions for thriving.

Apna Ghar provides critical, comprehensive, culturally competent services, and conducts outreach and advocacy across communities to end gender violence. Apna Ghar seeks to end gender violence through a three- pronged approach of highly effective and innovative services for survivors and those who perpetrate harm, advocacy and community education and accountability.

Our mission is to create and to sustain a safe environment that empowers women and children through preventative education and advocacy, which promotes stronger individuals, families, and communities.

The mission of Mutual Ground is to provide education, awareness, and life-changing services that empower individuals, families, and communities to end the cycle of domestic and sexual violence and substance abuse. It is the sole provider of these comprehensive services for Southern Kane and Kendall Counties in Illinois.

Our mission is to provide emergency shelter and supportive services to victims of domestic violence. Domestic violence victims are frightened for themselves and their children. It is often difficult for them to leave or stay and maintain safety for many reasons including that they are often blamed for their own victimization. It is vital to the safety of our community that victims are provided effective services and those who use harm in relationships are held accountable. Domestic violence is a societal problem that results in disruption and trauma in the lives of individual victims. Our vision is a community where families are safe in their own home. We seek to create a safer community through quality services. We know that our clients deserve adequate housing, resources, other supports and information to choose healthy and safe alternatives and reduce the violence in their lives. We believe collaborating with others in the community will provide the strongest trauma-informed services to our clients Our work is focused on achieving racial equity, gender equality, and welcome for all members of our community. THE MISSION OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN'S HORIZONS IS TO PROVIDE SUPPORT, SHELTER, EDUCATION, TRAINING AND HEALING SERVICES TO VICTIMS OF SEXUAL AND DOMESTIC ABUSE, THEIR FAMILIES AND THE COMMUNITY.

Provide a continuum of safe, confidential shelter options—from emergency shelter through transitional shelter.Provide a rich array of crisis intervention services, case management and emotional support to those we shelter as well as those who are waiting for shelter; helping them to rebuild their lives, free from fear.Address the many complexities and barriers associated with domestic violence, sexual violence, dating violence and stalking on an individual level as well as a community systems level.Continue to reach out to survivors through individual advocacy, emergency case management and support groups after they leave shelter, offering an environment where survivors feel welcome and are encouraged to share their stories and their wisdom with others.

Mission statement of the Rape Crisis Center, Brazos Valley is to provide counseling, hotline, and accompaniment services to all survivors of sexual abuse. In providing these services we aim to assure that the immediate and long term physical and emotional needs of the survivor are met, survivors are treated with dignity and respect, and they are given accurate legal and medical information.

Avalon Center works to end domestic and sexual violence by breaking the cycle of abuse through education, prevention, shelter and support services in the greater Williamsburg and Middle Peninsula communities.

We will work toward the elimination of domestic violence and provide emergency and support services for survivors of domestic violence.For over 37 years, Domestic Violence Shelter and Services, Inc. (DVSS) has advanced its work to prevent domestic violence and provide support services for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Services are available twenty four hours a day. Our primary service area is New Hanover County. (Other areas are served as needed.)
