As the leading Jewish social services agency in Los Angeles, Jewish Family Service LA is a trusted and critical source of support for the Jewish community. But our work does not stop there. Every day, Jewish Family Service LA operates according to these values. It is clear in every service and program we offer for the people of Los Angeles. Thorn

Thorn builds technology to defend children from sexual abuse. We believe that every child has the right to be safe, to be curious, to be happy. We work with the sharpest minds from tech, non-profit, government and law enforcement to stop the spread of child sexual abuse material, stand up to child traffickers and uncover new kinds of abuse. Technology is a powerful tool. We choose to use it for good. Our programs and products find child abuse victims faster, make online environments safer, and deter criminal behavior.

We work with more than 200 partner organizations from 5 continents to create dignified work for those rescued from, or vulnerable to trafficking around the world. We believe that education + job creation are powerful tools to overcome trafficking, which is why our team is committed to continuing to develop concepts that make freedom possible. But we also know that in order to truly solve this issue, we need to both help survivors + get in front of the issue - which is why we also provide prevention education to communities, businesses, families, and youth on the signs and dangers of human trafficking.
