SEE Science Center strives to engage our community in the joyful, active exploration of science and innovation.

The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy was founded to support scientific research, improve public safety, and educate the community, to inspire conservation of Atlantic white sharks.

Utilizing the approach of social entrepreneurship, Newark Science and Sustainability, Inc. (Newark SAS) is a community-driven, 501c3 nonprofit organization based in Newark, NJ that implements various initiatives to increase awareness of environmental, ecological and wellness issues through educational programs and hands-on activities. Newark SAS assists with the creation of self-sustaining and environmentally friendly communities by developing pathways for green jobs, increased self-sufficiency, and broader community empowerment. We achieve through collaborations and partnerships with residents, community-based organizations and and other key stakeholders, including local businesses. Your continued support helps our local actions address global challenges.

The mission of the Apache Software Foundation (ASF) is to provide software for the public good. We do this by providing services and support for many software project communities consisting of individuals who choose to participate in ASF activities.

The Climate Science Legal Defense Fund (CSLDF) protects the scientific endeavor by putting its legal expertise to work for scientists who are threatened or silenced due to their findings or fields of study. Our work preserves and expands scientists’ rights and strengthens the legal protections that promote scientific integrity.We do this by:- Offering free legal aid to scientists- Educating researchers about their rights and responsibilities- Sharing strategies and information about cases with attorneys- Publicizing attacks on science

The mission of the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum (AAHOM) is to inspire people to discover the wonder of science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEaM). Our vision is to be the leader in imaginative and interactive learning experiences. Thanks to a steadfast belief in the power of STEaM when placed in the hands of pre-K through 8th graders, we enjoy one of the highest annual attendance rates at a science center in the State of Michigan: over 290,000 visitors in the last year. We have over 7,750 family members, demonstrating the value they find in our exhibits and programs. Over 5.4 million visitors have visited AAHOM since it opened its doors in 1982, making it one of the most popular science centers in the State of Michigan. In the last fiscal year (October 1, 2014-September 30, 2015), 73% of AAHOM visitors came from five counties in Southeast Michigan as follows: Washtenaw (32.8%), Wayne (22.7.%), Oakland (13.6%), Livingston (3.4%), and Macomb (3.4%). Our outreach programs serve the State of Michigan and northern Ohio. In the last fiscal year, we delivered 518 outreach programs. Distance learning programs reach schools through the U.S., Canada, and Australia.

YTC engages teens in hands-on programs that teach them useful technical skills, then encourages them to become agents of change at home and globally though teamwork, technology education and community service.

TO ADDRESS GEOLOGIC ASPECTS OF ISSUES DEALING WITH THE WORLD'S CHANGING ENERGY CHALLENGES, USES, SAFETY, POLICIES AND ASSOCIATED ENVIRONMENTAL QUESTIONS. TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC AND SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY ON THE IMPORTANCE OF GEOLOGIC MAPS, CROSS SECTIONS, AND OTHER GEOLOGIC DATA & INTERPRETATIONS. TO ASSIST AND ADVISE VARIOUS GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES WITH INSTRUCTION AND SHARING GEOLOGIC DATA SETS AND INTERPREATIONS. TO PRESERVE GEOLOGIC MAPS AND CROSS SECTIONS, DIGITIZING THEM SO THAT THEY CAN BE PRESERVED IN THE GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEM (GIS) FILES AND MADE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC VIA THE FOUNDATION'S WEB SITE.

GAPPS' Mission is to Improve Birth Outcomes Worldwide. Globally, prematurity is the leading cause of death for newborns. Additionally, each year a staggering 2.6 million infants die just minutes or hours before birth — and in many cases of stillbirth, the loss is compounded when the mother also dies. GAPPS is leading a collaborative, global effort to increase awareness and accelerate innovative research and interventions that will improve maternal, newborn and child health outcomes around the world.
