The mission of the Berkshire Museum is to bring people together for experiences that spark creativity and innovative thinking by making inspiring, educational connections among art, history, and natural science.

The American Mathematical Society, founded in 1888 to further the interests of mathematical scholarship and research, serves the international mathematical community through its publications, meetings, advocacy and other programs, which (A) promote mathematical research and its uses, (B) encourage and promote the transmission of mathematical understandings and skills to ensure the continued vitality of the profession, (C) support mathematical education at all levels, (D) advance the status of the profession of mathematics, encouraging and facilitating full participation of all individuals, and (E) foster an awareness and appreciation of mathematics and its connections to other disciplines and everyday life.

Our mission is to nurture generations of passionate learners, critical thinkers and active citizens through Design, Make, Play — an approach to learning that encourages hands-on experimentation, critical thinking, and iterative problem-solving. Through Design, Make, Play, NYSCI aspires to create a distinctive set of resources that have a measurable and scalable impact on how people learn. The museum anchors and inspires all the work we do, fostering public engagement in STEM, and supporting our youth development program, education offerings and research. We have developed innovative products to extend this learning far beyond our walls, and our extensive network of partnerships deepens and broadens our impact, locally and around the world.

The mission of the Rochester Museum & Science Center is to inspire a better future for all through curiosity, exploration, and participation in science, culture, and the natural world.

TO COLLECT, PRESERVE, INTERPRET AND CELEBRATE BOATS AND RELATED ARTIFACTS TO ADVANCE PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING OF THE IMPORTANCE OF BOATING TO THE CULTURAL HISTORY OF NORTH AMERICA AND THE ST. LAWRENCE RIVER IN PARTICULAR.

We use science to educate and protect. This is our mission. This is what drives us relentlessly forward. The challenges facing this critical apex predator are many, and seemingly overwhelming. More than 100 million are slaughtered every year for their fins. Climate change is dramatically disrupting the oceanic ecosystem and food chain. And mankind’s attitudes are indifferent at best; savage at worst. We believe science—rigorous, peer-reviewed, professional—can inform and guide governing bodies and society at large to conservation policies that ensure the sustainability of all shark species.

Their mission: To create a center where physical, biological, and neuroscientists can effectively collaborate with consciousness researchers, philosophers, and others who could potentially contribute toward the actualization of the collective vision and mission outlined by the following statements. To fully understand and experimentally confirm the logical consequences of an information-based reality. To extend the reach of science into the realm of subjective experience, thus unifying mind and matter within an over-arching understanding of consciousness. To develop fundamental knowledge and understanding, of both the self and the evolving information system that appears to be the source of all reality, through rigorous scientific investigation of both physical reality and consciousness.

ASCB IS AN INCLUSIVE, INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY OF BIOLOGISTS STUDYING THE CELL, THE FUNDAMENTAL UNIT OF LIFE. WE ARE DEDICATED TO ADVANCING SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERY, ADVOCATING SOUND RESEARCH POLICIES, IMPROVING EDUCATION, PROMOTING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, AND INCREASING DIVERSITY IN THE SCIENTIFIC WORKFORCE.

THE FOUNDATION WAS BEGUN TO INSURE THAT THE PASSENGER VESSEL INDUSTRY CONTINUED WITH ITS DEDICATION TO CONTINUE FURTHERING EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENMT OF SAFETY RESOURCES.
