LONDON COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTRE

Since 2002, LCRC has facilitated a variety of community-based programs such as: Community Gardens, Cook It Up, Collective Kitchens, Healthy Tidbits at the Food Bank, and Community Food Advisors. Grow Cook Learn is the culmination of the food security projects undertaken by the London Community Resource Centre (LCRC). The Grow Cook Learn program builds on this experience to provide more options and opportunities for people to grow, prepare, preserve and enjoy locally grown fresh food. We facilitate cooking classes, gardening courses, community presentations and demonstration gardens to encourage everyone to Grow Cook Learn!

Vanier is a leader in helping children and youth age 0 to 14 and their families with emotional and behavioural issues. For over 40 years, we have served London and surrounding communities in southwestern Ontario with compassionate, best-practice and innovative programs and services. Many of the children we help are reacting to overwhelming stresses within their lives like death, divorce, violence, neglect, or parents with mental health or substance abuse problems. Founded in 1911, Marymound provides an extensive range of services to young people and their families. These include: therapeutic counselling, group home living, secure living units, foster care, sexual abuse treatment, addiction stabilization, crisis stabilization, emergency education services, spiritual care, Aboriginal cultural services, parenting programs, Marymound School and more. With locations in Winnipeg and Thompson, Manitoba, Marymound serves 3,000 young people and their families each year. Marymound is a part of a network of over 600 Good Shepherd Agencies worldwide. “Finding the Good” is more than a tag line at Marymound. It is our guiding principle. We not only seek to find the good, but take it a step further and nurture the good.
