Dignity for Children Foundation

Dignity for Children Foundation aims to empower marginalised and underprivileged urban poor children to break the cycle of poverty through quality education, positively transforming their lives and the lives of the community around them. Dignity achieves this by establishing high quality learning centres; implementing specialised learning environments to develop children academically and socially thus empowering them to become productive members of society. Started 26 years ago in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur with only 20 students Dignity is now a learning centre with more than 2,000 children ranging from 2-18 years old enrolled annually. It provides quality education and care in a secure environment for pre-school to Form 5. From Toddler to Primary, the Montessori method of education is used, and Cambridge IGCSE 'O' level for the Secondary students. Together with the academic components, Dignity teaches employability skills through its Transformational Enterprise program. Dignity's aim is to nurture and empower world changers through transformative education. Our mission: 1. Education To establish world-class community-based education programmes and transformational training enterprises. 2. Educator To build generations of passionate, skilled and ambitious teams of educators and support staff. 3. Community To inspire and rally the community to create and experience the transformative journey. 4. ITTF Foundation

Founded in 2018, the ITTF Foundation was created by the International Table Tennis Federation as an independent nonprofit organization. The Foundation aims to create positive impacts through table tennis in communities worldwide. The ITTF Foundation operates through five programs to foster development through table tennis, contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The team tirelessly designs and implements initiatives that promote inclusivity, education, and empowerment, ensuring that the sport becomes a catalyst for positive social change. As a nonprofit organization we collaborate closely with local project implementation partners while we assist with planning, financial support, and knowledge sharing. Additionally, we connect with the Parkinson's community globally to promote the use of table tennis for enhancing well-being and health, particularly against neurodegenerative diseases.

Barn Owl and Rodent Research Group (BORG), Universiti Sains Malaysia

The main goal of the group is to conserve barn owl population in Malaysia and promote barn owls as biological control agent of rat populations both in agriculture areas and urban settings. To achieve these goals, BORG actively conducts research related to barn owls and rats. BORG also conducts education programs to the public to create awareness about the importance of barn owls to our ecosystem. Education programs such exhibitions are conducted at a school and community level. To date, the group has run a series of awareness exhibitions via Universiti Sains Malaysia and also through the Young Scientist Network-Academy of Sciences Malaysia road shows. Current research projects involve translocation of barn owl to Sabah and Sarawak and establishment of local barn owl communities in areas to aid B40 local farmers practice sustainable farming. BORG is also conducting various studies to tackle rat pest problems; from testing chemical rodenticides to searching for more sustainable and environment-friendly rat control solutions.

Kids Code Club

Kids Code Club provides free, online programming learning and IT skills acquisition opportunities to elementary and junior high school students from diverse backgrounds, including those who are limited in learning opportunities due to economic reasons or who feel uncomfortable in their lives. In collaboration with schools, government agencies, domestic and international NPOs, and corporations, we have provided learning opportunities for more than 14,000 students to date.
