Affirming God's love for all people, we work with Lutherans and partners around the world to end poverty, injustice and human suffering.

Our mission is to provide support to families of those in the military who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations.  The families of our casualities suffer in many ways, some financially, some psychologically.

The mission of SAPA is to develop and maintain a strong and dynamic professionalsociety that:(1) Supports the advancement of its Members.(2) Responsive to the needs of its Members’ communities within the United States and Sudan.(3) Aids in fulfilling its Member’s philanthropic endeavors within the United States and Sudan.

We will end hunger by efficiently procuring and distributing food and essentials to the hungry, through our programs and partner agencies.

The mission of the Project HOME community is to empower adults, children, and families to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, to alleviate the underlying causes of poverty, and to enable all of us to attain our fullest potential as individuals and as members of the broader society. We strive to create a safe and respectful environment where we support each other in our struggles for self-esteem, recovery, and the confidence to move toward self-actualization. Project HOME achieves its mission through a continuum of services comprised of street outreach, a range of supportive housing, and comprehensive services. We address the root causes of homelessness through neighborhood-based affordable housing, economic development, and environmental enhancement programs, as well as through providing access to employment opportunities; adult and youth education; and health care. Project HOME is committed to social and political advocacy. An integral part of our work is education about the realities of homelessness and poverty and vigorous advocacy on behalf of and with homeless and low-income persons for more just and humane public policies. Project HOME is committed to nurturing a spirit of community among persons from all walks of life, all of whom have a role to play in making this a more just and compassionate society.

TASK feeds those who are hungry in the Trenton area and offers programs to encourage self-sufficiency and improve the quality of life of its patrons.

Operation Breakthrough's mission is to help children who are living in poverty develop to their fullest potential by providing them a safe, loving, and educational environment. The Center also strives to support and empower the children's families through education, advocacy, referral services, and emergency aid.

Beyond Hunger's mission is harnessing the power of communities to end hunger.

Shoes That Fit tackles one of the most visible signs of poverty in America by giving children in need new athletic shoes to attend school with dignity and joy, prepared to learn, play and thrive. A new pair of shoes can be a life-changing event for a child. School attendance, self-esteem and behavior improve. Physical activity increases. Smiles return. All from an often over-looked item—a good pair of shoes. Our vision is that, one day, every child in America who needs new shoes gets new shoes, allowing all children the opportunity to reach their highest potential.

Our mission is to end sex trafficking and child exploitation while empowering survivors to reclaim their lives and thrive on their healing journey.

Rainier Valley Food Bank's mission is to nourish with good food, empower with knowledge, and serve with compassion.
