Our mission is to provide the resources necessary to bring about a change where children and young people do not need have to take to the streets for survival or refuge, but identify and define their sense of belonging in their families and communities. It is characterized by our objectives: Wherever possible to mediate the reunification of, and re- establishment of the bonding between, the child and the family. Where not possible, we identify suitable alternative based care, primarily foster care. To enable the growth of children and young people living on the street into responsible citizens with genuine concerns for the welfare of other fellow human beings and the development of society in which they live; To provide interventions for change in the child's attitude, values, and outlook in life, from a hostile, aggressive, fearful, distrustful,insecure and exploited child to one conscious of the value of the dignity of the human person living in society with freedom-in-responsibility

Trains & promotes employability skills, higher levels of productivity and technological innovation to underserved deaf and non-deaf in their development, sports, health, and education for self-reliance and prosperity.

CEDI's mission is to build successful women- and youth-led enterprises in Kenya that effectively contribute to development and sustainable livelihoods through financial capability and entreprenuership training and business research that naturally leverage on innovation and technology.

Mission: We are a charitable organisation working to kickstart the lives of vulnerable children in Kenya through locally-led sustainable development. Key Principles: Kickstart Kids International is an entirely volunteer run, not for profit, non-government development organisation. Mission: To improve the quality of life for people living in extreme poverty in Nyeri district, Kenya's biggest slum, through social and economic development programs and community services, with a special focus on children, youth and poor women.

TEA wants to be help poor people succeed to their efforts through innovation, empowerment, and in promoting new ways of thinking and doing.

Strengthening the public engagement and the action for social inclusion by emphasizing the collective and individual responsibilities in the battle with poverty and social exclusion. To improve the quality of life of children, young people and women living in the slum through the provision of quality education, affordable housing, health care and socio economic empowerment Akili Girls Preparatory School strives to provide underprivileged girls in Kisumu County with affordable quality education that will help them to break the cycle of poverty. The project goal is to generate sufficient income through focussing on horticulture, poultry, dairy cows, and renewable energy systems so as to meet educational, nutritional and medical support needs of the girls we support. This project aims to support at least 200 orphans and vulnerable girls between 3 and 14 years by the year 2020. The primary target group are girls from the lowest income populations, particularly those who are affected by the prevalence of HIV/AIDS in Obunga slum and Obambo village in Kisumu County. We will enroll 5 fee paying students in every class to enable parents who are able to pay fees to participate in the education of needy girls. The strategy we have adopted to provide quality education to these girls is through the establishment of a boarding school known as Akili Girls Preparatory School which will provide holistic education that addresses both the physical and emotional needs of the girls while creating dignity through self-reliance

Cherish Others Organisation- Kenya was registered in 2004 as a local non-governmental organization dedicated to uplift the lives of the vulnerable members of the community that include the women, girl child, the youth and the orphans. Cherish Others exists to improve the livelihoods of the resource poor communities through information sharing, education and providing support and care while working with them towards reducing HIV/AIDS prevalence within their environment. The organization contributes to advocacy campaigns on issues affecting the girl child, such as education, girl child rights and adolescent pregnancies. It is also involved in mentoring young girls for professional development by conducting alternative rite of passage ceremonies.

Who We Are The Foundation for Women's Health, Research and Development - FORWARD - is an African Diaspora women's campaign and support charity (registered in the UK). We exist to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights as central to the wellbeing of African women and girls. We work with individuals, communities and organisations to transform harmful practices and improve the quality of life of vulnerable girls and women. FORWARD was established in 1983 in the UK, in response to the emerging problems caused by female genital mutilation being seen by health professionals. Since this time FORWARD has been working to eliminate the practice and provide support to women affected by FGM. At our twenty year review FORWARD formally incorporated into its mandate other issues allied to Female Genital Mutilation, in particular vesico-vagina and recto-vagina fistulae and child and forced marriage. Our Mission FORWARD was founded to safeguard dignity, advance health and human rights for African girls and women globally.
